Played this for about an hour...a few observations:- 1. The visuals are stunning, honestly a massive leap over the previous games, but marred by poor anti-aliasing and a lot of background shimmering. You can see how iffy the AA is on thin fences as they half-disappear! Transitions from the opening FMV to in-game engine was also seamless...I only knew because the GPU usage went from 1% to 35%. 2. I got an average of 76 FPS in the benchmark with everything maxed at 1920x1200 and all the GameWorks features on but the actual game is capped at 30 FPS!!! Yeah, great console port, Rocksteady! Sure, you might be able to edit the config files but that's not really the point is it? 3. VRAM usage on Normal textures, the game's highest setting, rose to around 5.6 to 5.9 GB!!! 4. Gameplay feels instantly familiar but it feels like an evolution on the previous games, thanks to the stunning presentation and graphics. The batmobile looks fantastic and is fun to drive; it's just a shame that its tank mode isn't. It feels like it belongs in another game...hopefully it is not overused. Game seems very promising but the PC version could have been a bit better in terms of graphics options, especially AA (where are the MSAA, SMAA and TXAA options?). Also that 30 FPS cap is a sore reminder that this game was made for consoles first and foremost, and is bound to annoy the PC community.
