barely did 20% of the game
still waiting for the fixes
So I've been doing some testing with my 750ti as dedicated physx card since upgrading to a 980, turns out the 750ti as dedicated physx couple with the 980 actually lowers the performance in this game,
average FPS with 750 TI as dedicated Physx 58fps
average FPS with 980 on it's own is 63fps,
obviously this game is broken and needs some serious fixes but I'm thinking the 980 has more than enough horsepower to handle physx without a dedicated card, I will likely be returning the 750 TI as it's not making much of a difference, was worth a try tho
Arkham Knight on PS4 & XB1
Arkham Knight on PC
I have two MSI Twin Frozr 680's sitting here collecting dust and have been wondering if I should make one a dedicated PhysX card. I did some research after reading your post and found out this is a common occurrence when using a dedicated PhysX card.. It does more harm than good for the most part. With any PhysX game
I could be wrong, but doesnt it have something to do with cuda cores. My guess would be that Nvidia underestimates the gpu requirements for games when using a separate gpu.
since playing at 1080p the game crashes a lot for me. after the patch i could play for hours at 1050p without any crash at all. i find very odd that upping the resolution will cause this though.
So I threw a 680 in as a dedicated PhysX card.. DDU and reinstalled 353.38 drivers.
My Benchmark frames were nearly cut in half after dedicating the 680 to PhysX.. My 680 GPU usage was in the 80%'s and the 980 only in the mid 50%'s..
Yeah I expected that, I have a spare 670 floating around I was gonna give it a try but I don't think Kepler's built to handle the new gameworks stuff properly that's why I went with the 750 TI as it's Maxwell I figured it might offset some of load but clearly not in this case, it's more likely the game being borked more than anything I mean SLI doesn't even work properly right now.
Arkham Knight PC DLC delayed indefinitely
I'd consider that the right decision, I'm fairly certain the majority would take the news of receiving DLC before the fixes as an insult. So yeah, fix the core game and then add on top of that.
Congrats with your new rig.
haha, thanks it's been long overdue and loving it so far
About 40% completion now.. I gotta say.
1. The claims the batmobile is over used is a farce. I've been doing more missions lately that don't involve it at all. It seems very balanced
2. The amount of side missions is great.. Beats Orgins side missions that were little more than just filler.
3. The main story is one of the best in the Arkham series and I'm not even done yet.. Brilliant stuff here.
Performance wise I've used the auto patcher that tweaks the ini's and I can run it acceptablish now with every game works option on. It still stutters in areas but for when it really matters.. The game runs acceptable.
Are you playing with or without the 30fps cap?
I agree with this 100%
The game runs pretty poor for me, do you mind posting your BmEngine.ini and BmSystemSettings.ini?
Use the unofficial patcher...
I have already tried that, it still get stutter and low fps in places.
in my experience the game runs best without tweaking ini files at all
