I guess it's not enabled for GTX 295 cards. I just tried it and didn't notice any difference.
Must just be the fact that you didn't have a dedicated card, cause I run physx on high and have a steady 60FPS the entire time through no matter what stage. It would be nice if the GTX480 can indeed run the game full detail with high physx on just one card, I'm sure it can but it'll be a while before I find out
This patch looks more like a bug fix rather than performance improvement.
Note: The patch is only for NVIDIA GeForce GTX 480 or 470 owners. This DLL patch required to ensure that PhysX for rigid bodies works correctly in Batman: Arkham Asylum.
Nah, something must of been wrong with his drivers if he only got 1-5fps, even with a single 192SP GTX260 i got 20-25fps during the scarecrow section, and that was maxed 4xAA at a res of 1920x1080, if i put in the 9600GSO then i got 25-30fps.
The GTX480 can run this game maxed with high PhysX, it has 2.5x the framerate of a GTX285 when using Dark Void with PhysX on high, and that has much more going on compared to Batman:AA.
Just tested it with my GTX480 ...
Should i notice something different?
