I havent seen anyone mention this so I will post it myself. You can change the FOV of battlefield by modifying the settings.ini file. Its located in \My Documents\BFBC2. For 1920x1080 resolution I use fov 80. Also you can set the renderahead to 0 if you get jerky gameplay. Enjoy!

Are there peeps playing this game?

Over at the EA forums there are many peeps complaining about the servers not working, and other problems as well.

Use Gossamers launcher, easy to use to change settings.

Do you experience any fisheye effect at FOV 75-80 at 1920x1080?

No i dont, the value 75 for me is perfect and better than default 55 at 1920x1080. 55 looked like i was trying to get into my monitor, didnt like...

No not really. I find it to be perfect for me to be honest.

I use 1920x1200 and 70 is perfect, start getting stretching or zooming in the corners when moving about at 75. Remember this is Vertical FOV not Horizontal like in most games. 70 Vertical is about 100 Horizontal in Quake3, TF2 etc

I wouldnt really call it fisheye as it is not the same effect like Quake engines for example as it uses a different FOV method and zoomes out and tries to retain straight lines. (Things stretch instead of getting a lense eye effect).

Yes, this vertical FOV have something strange.

I´m playing at 55 in 1920x1200, default, up something looks really annoying.

Stand about 5-10 metres away from a window frame, door frame etc and turn around and look at the picture in the corners of your screen. You will see the door/window stretching or kind of zooming in closer when you turn.

For 16:9 aspect 75 Fov should be about max without getting it, on 16:10 it would be 70.

Well, I'm getting used to the recomended FOV for 1920x1200 (65), but seems better at less, I did try 60 and is not bad at all.

Any 1920x1200 user ? what fov are using ?

in the Battlefield: BC2 FOV Calculator say that the recomended for 1920x1080 is 59

That is Horizontal FOV but BFC2 use Vertical FOV.

    Below is fisheye effect.

And who recommended 78? That seem's pretty extreme. Note the that setting in the .ini file is the vertical FOV, not horizontal.

    I've been using 66 (1910x1200).
