You already have a pretty good card right now. If I was you I would not consider 980 and 390x at all, because you don't gain as much to justify the cost. Next week non-X Fury comes out, could be interesting for you. Otherwise, next-gen GPUs are coming out in about one year at the earliest. Since they will have the benefit of 2 process node shrinks, I expect for them to outclass the current high-end GPUs. There is nothing coming in the meantime (in the high-end), except perhaps more-or-less cut down versions of existing chips, so make you choice now and stick with it. Don't go buying a 980ti in spring of next year just so you regret it a few months later.
Wait to see how the Fury performs when it launches. You can always slap a waterblock on it as well. EK have made one I believe. I'm waiting to see how it OCs as well.
It is confirmed fury pro overclocks and has unlocked voltage. Spread the words people AMDJoe a respected AMD Rep. said it. 1 thread down and a 100+ other threads to go
Thanks matrix the fury vanilla is intriguing prospect but I'll wait to see the reviews of the after market coolers and such. I'm not getting bad fps though, wanted more power for fallout 4 coming at the end of the year.
That's a very nice card, and a step up from the GTX 770 for sure. It's gonna be even better with the first DX12 games.
