    Here we go again!

    :D

Theoneofgod you are wasting your time:

"Dogma" vs "reality" is like trying to mix oil and water.

Obviously they are no recycling the silicon of my GPUs because i'm still using them, they use a new batch from silicone factory and the GPU specs are the same as 290(X).

Lets assume you are right, does it really take that long to improve the card ever slightly? They could've done that 2-3 months after the release of the r9 290/x series and called them revisions or refresh. Say they didn't want to bother with the r9 200 and save the changes for the r9 300 series, did it really need that long to do? If they had released the card in jan. or feb, i wouldn't mind. But at this point, i don't see that many going to upgrade since alot just jumped over to the green side and went for the gtx 970. That card alone outsold the r9 290/x combined, with people and reviewers alike recommend the card even after the vram issue.

Oh and another thing, AMD should just design the cards and hand them to third party sellers. AMD can't design coolers for ****. And if you anyone says what about the r9 295 x2 and fury x? That is watercooling, give a 15 years old teen the watercooling block and the card with a guide and he will do it himself.

How much will the Fury be priced do you think? The 390 is about £270, 390x is about £340, if the Fury is somewhere between £350/400 it's priced similar to the 980 and it should wipe the floor of it. Does that give much room for Fury X to drop though.

No word on the Nano yet, which is the only thing that will make me ugrade from my vapor-x

That doesn't really mean much unless they're selling a reference design? 3rd party designs are usually about £50+ more. That's driving it right up to the price of the Fury X here. Fury X $650 rrp?

Base designs with reference clocks will be MSRP.

    Tri-X for example.

OCed will be more, Vapor-x, Toxic, Etc.

I doubt AMD would announce an MSRP without forcing the AIBs to make make models at that price.

No idea where the Nano is going to fit in this price situation. 3rd party design Fury's (Asus for example) are going to be similarly priced to reference Fury X which is just crazy.
Nano should be priced lower/same as Fury I think.

My guess is it will be lower than Fury.

Sapphire Fury Tri-X data sheet has already leaked, its cut down.

Wich is a bummer, i was hopinf it would be full fat and the Nano would be cut down.

which means the nano is going to replace the 390 pro performance wise most likely.

Fury pro should be at 500 bucks and there should be only 3rd party designs. AMD coolers are fail. The nano when it comes out, should be priced slightly above the gtx 970 mini.

Fury looks the size of the Nano with a chunky heatsink.

Shame. That makes the price situation confusing. Fury X either needs to go up or 390/390x need to come down.

maybe we will get lucky and they will adjust the MSRP down, i really dont think its worth $550 if its cut down.

Videocardz has been know to spread fud in the past, so it could all just be made up, but at this point i doubt it.

Not at all. That's pushing £450 here for a fancy one. £50 more gets you a liquid cooled Fury X.

um, did you notice it has 56 CUs?

Fury X has 64, and a fancy water cooler for $100 more.

that too, it seems like it should be more than $100 cheaper to me.

Problem is if the nano is only as good as a 390/290, then the only advantages to getting one for me is the power envelope and GCN 1.2 updates.

The Fury pro may be my only upgrade path if i want more performance.

If you decide to upgrade, and since you don't have any kids, may i suggest sending my your vapor x so i can cf it with mine. And you can't use it anymore since it doesn't have cuda cores to run physx :p
