I have the latest drivers from the azuentech website, and when I check in the windows recording devices, I don't have line in listed like it should be. I do have an auxiliary entry listed, however when I connect an mp3 player to the line in port of the card, set windows to record off of the auxiliary and then try and record some music playing via the mp3 player, I get nothing. Any ideas?

Jebus, 4 minutes after you posted, Google had this thread as the first option under search lol!

Same here though, my Prelude doesnt have "line in" present either.
I'll see what I can find out.

I'm not overly surprised, since there is practically nothing on the subject, even regarding the prelude in general.

The manual makes no mention of using line in other than to tell you it exists.

It uses Auxiliary, I've just tested, I'm listening to my satellite box through it right now.
If you want to listen to it and not just record the sound, go into Auxiliary properties, Listen Tab, tick the "Listen to this device" box.

Isn't that for the Auxiliary port on the card itself and not through the line in on the backplate. In anycase, I enabled listen to and with the player connected via the line in I don't hear anything.

Make sure Aux is the selected input device.
Try something else connected to that port.
Try the MP3 player plugged into the mic port using the same lead, be sure to change the selected input device.

I've tried all of that and haven't had any success. I've hooked up the player using the same lead to the auxiliary port on my speakers and it worked fine there so I know that combo should work.

    Uninstall the driver, reboot.
    Re-install it, try again.

Do the above tests if there is still a problem.

When I plugged my sat box into Aux, it worked immediately.
    fyi

I might have to just use the line in from the onboard audio card.
