A bit of an awkward yet funny moment for Microsoft, at the Microsoft Ignite conference they where presenting Azure infrastructure and cloud platforms with Microsoft Edge. Edge however fails, so ho... Awkward: Edge fails during demo at Microsoft Ignite conference
this is the problem with direct live... lol they are not the only one wich have failed... Apple, IBM, AMD (with BSOD after the great music... lol, like M$ for the presentation of Windows) sony with crashed PS2 or 3 on demo stand, i don't remember wich one it was. the responsable will be fired and banned for 7 generations from XBox live lol
He is used to do it. It's a well know fact that Explorer (and Edge) best usage is to install Firefox or Chrome.
To be fair, it didn't really look like it was Edge itself which "became unresponsive". Considering he mentioned Edge being locked down (not locked up) on the demo machine, I find it plausible that this comment was accurate and that the browser just refused to run some scripts which are part of their Azure admin interface (which did seem to "become unresponsive" at that point). A bit funny just because it was an MS rep installing a competing product on stage, sure. But to me it primarily came across as some quick thinking in order to save the demo. After all, he had a live audience waiting for him to continue his demo and the point of said demo wasn't Edge but the web page he was showing in it. Of course, they really should have run through the demo on that exact same machine before.
Id give Edge a spin, but you need a MS Account to access the store to install uBlock... soooo ill stick with Chrome instead.
I find Edge to be completely unusable in most scenarios. Every time someone at work buys a new laptop, they ask me how to get to a real web browser because Edge won't load the websites we use. A "web browser" that won't load a website is completely useless.
Sorry youre having problems. LMK and ill get you in touch with my 6 year old sister, who finds edge "completely usable." Im sure she can give you the IT support you need.
Edge seems to run fine for me nowadays (forums, YouTube and whatnot). It used to become unresponsive with certain sites (where certain does not equal adult) but is better now. @TimmyP the stick's really deep up your ass isn't it? Has it occurred to you that not everyone uses the exact same sites, plugins / has identical PC setups etc.? PS: don't bother responding, I have you on ignore (feel free to return the favor). Saw your post via main site. For everyone else sorry for OT.
