OK, Got the card installed and :bounce:WOW!!!!This thing is sweet!!! I can really tell a difference between the prelude and the old XFi Extreme Music, sounds are much sharper and the Bass is really Deep and rich....Gameplay is amazing...I fired up Medieval 2 Kingdoms and could hear the crunching of bones during battle so vivid it was like being there, will test Bioshock next..But the most important difference is no hissing or crackling with 4Gig and Vista 64Bit..It works perfectly....Soooo happy.....

Glad to hear. This card doesn't have the same issue the Creative X-fi have. Enjoy it's a sweet card for sure.

Yes, The Output section of the Prelude is very good. When you use Digital the sound is created by the DAC in your receiver. Unfortunately these are usually not of great quality and the DAC's on the card are usually alot better. Try both and see which you like better.

Alot of audio companies used the Digital input DAC's as a place to skimp out.
I know when guys were connecting the X-Meridian to Mid-High end receivers they found the DAC's better in the X-Meridian making the analog quality better then the receivers digital. Use analog interconnects to patch the Prelude to the Onkyo. Do some tests you will be able to hear the difference. Your DAC"s may be good who knows...test.
    hope this helps.

I hear that Prelude from Auzentech will even ship to our little country. I assume it has something to do with already established Creative dealers since it's using their APU chip.
Auzentech itself has not been present here even though they've released excellent X-Meridian. Better late than never i guess.

Nope not the only one ROBSCIX :D

just got mine a few days ago, still breaking her in, but i didnt know how much i missed eax5 till i got it installed.

Loving the prelude so far , running the back analog to my Z5500's as well as my coaxial (for movies) and my Optical (for my 360) and front audio on my case for my headphone amp on my K701's/Sennhiser ME3'Speech', And i'm loving every moment of it, esp in CSS and such.

I cant wait till she gets a proper driver tho, i feel very limited atm' on the hacked together temp creative driver they shipped with it to get it out the door.

Patch is a common word for cables. -Comes from my music background..mixer,effects..etc.
common to say "Patch cables" etc. Video patch cables, RCA Patch cables.

The cables you would use are 3.5 mini jack to dual RCA connectors.

You would use 3 set to connect to a receiver for 5.1 and 4 sets for 7.1

These cables would most likely give you the best sound possible with the Auzen Prelude and a receiver.
Try both and let your ears make the final decision.

I just want to confirm something here:

Using the prelude's analog output I won't be able to listen to DTS files, right?

    Only spdif.......
