I have a bunch of questions regarding my Audigy2 ZS in Win7. Any help GREATLY appreciated ;)

    1) Will the setup CD that came with my card work in Win7 64? Will those apps. install under 64?

    2) I only installed the latest Creative driver and nothing else. There is only CMMS available and it seems that CMMS2 is missing. Why is this? Because without it, my MP3's sound much more dull over headphones.

    3) On creative's forums, there is some guy who compiles Creative driver packs. Are they any good? Should I use that instead?

    4) I'm missing that little Creative white icon that used to reside in my taskbar in WinXP. Now its missing in Win7 64. Can I get it back, along with all its options?

    Thx for any help ;)

Yes, but you'll need to install in XP compatibility mode.

It's a bug, fixed with link below.

    Yes, the best.

You need to softmod your sound card to Audigy 4 , or just search for modded Audigy 2 drivers , it has great sound quality. Search for PAX , Daniel_K thoose the best ;-)

Yeah? you can even mod a soundcard these days? lol. Interesting. Well what benefits are there if I do mod it into a Audigy4?

Nothing really, it's an obsolete hack that allowed Audigy 4 apps to be used with an Audigy 2.

Creative now uses unified software for the Audigy cards, so the hack is no longer necessary.

I think , they have better sound quality. Better than the original ones.
