I sincerely hope that you will not decide to completely remove the Display menu from ATT, so that it cannot even be accessed by writing "hide_display=0" in the atitray.ini file. I need my saturation slider, Ray! :)

Tested on 3 diff rigs with and w/o ATT (lastest beta), when it was running on the background i always got a PB kick #125083. Then when it was disabled, PB didnt kick me.

Some1 test this in a private server plz. Cause its a sh**ty bug.

Again only tested w/ Battlefield 2

check out Sapphires website they have released a BIOS upgrade for the 4870, providing that yours is the same model as the upgrade is intended for.

Ray - no new beta for whole 9 days? I thought you were sick or something (untill I've just seen you were posting yesterday) ;)
Have you figured out why I can't see VRMs in monitoring for my 4870? Not that it's very important.. just curious about it.

Still waiting for answer - why doesn't forcing vsync off work on the newest version, but worked on a previous version?

Nothing you do on your computer is going to affect your house wiring. Either the power just went out, or a combination of things you had running on the same circuit (ie: a vacuum cleaner and hair dryer) overloaded the breaker.
Trust me, it has absolutely NOTHING to do with you trying to under or overclock anything.
I run an 850wat PSU with two monitors and 5.1 system, an entire entertainment center (50" DLSP, with 5.1), a rack of audio equipment, and can still use a vacuum cleaner, bathroom heater, and other odds and ends without the breaker going off (and it's all on the same breaker).
Unless you are running more than all that at the same time it's likely the wiring (which depending on the age of the place may be totally inadequate for modern power requirements), or the breaker itself is getting old (they do wear out over time).

    Great news!

The new bios for Sapphire Radeon HD 4870 512.

    Running 2D now - 350/450 voltage 1.083 - fan 28% = 46c idle :D

The temp was 56-58c before with old bios, with same clocks and fan speed :)

According to google, this new bios fixes all the game crashes in games!
    So everybody should update!

Oh, what happened to the 225/200?
After seeing that I decided to try it, and as I'm typing this I'm at 40c/28% (VisionTek HD4870 512 btw)

Sapphire released a new bios for my card. i flashed it and tried higher 2d clocks and found out that now i can run 2d 350/450 at same lov voltage and get same results: 45-46c idle

On the old bios i had 2d 225/200 same voltage and get same temp!

With the last Catalyst ATI introduced control fan!!!! Finally they made it! :3eyes:. But only on a fixed percent :rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

How they can be so incapable, unskilled and short-sighted?? :puke2::realmad::realmad::realmad::realmad::realmad::realmad:

I'm amazed they did include fixed speed anyway. It's quite dangerouse for someone uninformed (and most users fall into that category) to have an ability to set fan speeds at will. Imagine someone setting fan speed to 20% and then playing Crysis.... instant BSOD (well maybe not instant but soon after). Without some VERY VISIBLE warnings (that will be ignored anyway by most stupid users that try any slider they can) it will mean more problems for ATI customer services, even only to answer phone calls and explain that you should not touch that control if you reallllllly don't know what you are doing.

I too am having a problem with ATT not working when coming out of suspend mode, but mine seems to be a bit different to what other people get.

Suspend works fine, the PC comes back on and at first it looks like everything is okay. The GPU/MEM clocks are both set correctly (500/225 low power) but after about 10 seconds the screen flickers and they are reset to the default (750/900). I can drop them back with ATT.

I tried all combinations of options with "Restore after suspend mode" but it always does it. Latest Catalyst 8.9 and latest beta ATT 1.5.9.1314. HD4870 512MB.
