I've no idea what that is, I've got three Neo's 55" 65" and 85" and they are all awesome, the 65 is attached to a ps5 and a Q990 and the video and sound quality is great with UHD, Atmos works a treat, il grab another Q990 for then85 in the main room at some point.

samsung certified repairman knifed a TV to invalidate its warranty while the owner was out of the room, was caught on security cam, Samsung DMCA'd any media publishing the footage.

and now many artists are remastering or new releasing content for multi-channel audio, incl. "spatial audio" of which Atmos is king of the hill
it's nice to have the full range dynamically and acoustically in every channel.

Samsung have just released the Q990D, from what I can see the only difference to the C from last year is HDMI 2.1, I'm assuming for gaming this makes sense but not for UHD playback? Any ideas anybody?

    It has 2 new features:
    1. - "Private Rear Sound
    Watch TV without disturbing others
Enjoy your favourite content without disturbing others with Private Rear Sound, which activates only the rear speakers for a quiet and intimate listening experience."

    Useless to me.

    2. - "Sound Grouping
Room filling music at your fingertips
When listening to music, synchronise your rear speakers with the main Soundbar, even when they are in different room, to boost and play immersive room filling sound in harmony."

This ruins Spatial Audio and Atmos in music, so, useless to me. But I recon it's a good feature for Spotify peasants.

The C was already almost the same as the B.
A to B was a good change, I'm glad I got the B, I was lucky with the timing.

Yeah ive got the B, i might see if i can pick up the C at a good price for the main room downstairs.
As for the 'private rear sound' ha ha ha, behind my speakers is a hall and stairs down, and behind that is a toilet, behind that is my bedroom, behind that is a balcony and behind that is a big open space then the Mediterranean Sea.

    there are two major differences:

    1) it's brighter

2)the screen coating is the bomb - it's where ambient and reflected light go to die - this is by far the most effective and non-intrusive screen coating i've ever seen in my life as a videophile

both will make a noticeable difference in bright room viewing

I think he is talking about the picture quality? Strange.
People who buy this type of equipment are not watching movies in a bright room, but sure, it's an pimrpvement.

Its a nice way of saying the highs may sound over pronounced.

Edit, I thought tunejunky was talking about that soundbar system.
