With driver signature enforcement enabled Windows will block the unsigned drivers from loading into the system. That is why you have to disable it every time or windows will block the modded drivers, yes I have noticed that occasionally Windows allows the drivers to load without disabling the DSE but it will block them eventually. To avoid any inconveniences you should disable DSE.

Try install your modded driver but...
I totally uninstall previous 10.2 driver and ccc, reboot, clean registry by Ccleaner, reboot, see that system have not videodriver, reboot, choose disable signature enforcement and have BSOD!
If i load system without disabling signature enforcement - it's ok.
If i try disable signature enforcement when load - i have BSOD everytime.
    =(
    Any idea?

In your previous post you said you got your card to run fine with modded drivers even without driver signature enforcement disabled.......
I noticed that was only to negate the instruction I gave you to disable DSE. After I clarified that for you now you say that it doesn't work at all and you have BSOD'S when you are installing. Which is which?, you my friend don't sound like someone who needs help with drivers but rather like a troll sent to negate every attempt to help you. I'm sure you would do the same with the next set of instructions.

    Sorry me for my english.
I install now 10.2 legacy not modded drivers. I'll try totally delete it and try your 13.5 again. Course i disable signature enforcement everytime.

Hm... It BSOD again. I guess, maybe it trouble after i install ReadyDriverPlus. Before it i have not BSOD when load system in disabling signature enforcement..
Please tell me, if i install win 7 32 bit system instead 64 bit, could i use your modded driver (above last link) and if yes - should i disable signature enforcement everytime i reboot system same on win 7 64 bit?
    Thank you!
    I'm not troll.

Yes you can use it on any windows platform 32 or 64bit. Disabling Driver signature enforcement is necessary everytime.

    AMD display driver fail

    Hello!

I have read this thread and tried installing (ATI Radeon Xpress 200M+1100)13.5_Beta2_win7+8 32_64bit.7z on Win 8.1 64-bit. The setup finished with an error. Below is a txt file. Could it be that it is impossible to install ATI radeon xpress 1100 driver on win8.1 64-bit? Why didn't the setup install the video driver and everything else was installed normally? I have a clean Win8.1 64-bit and have booted the system with the Driver Signature Enforcement (DSE) disabled. I thought installing it would be a breeze with the given .7z file that included Ati Radeon Express 1100 driver for win 8.1 64-bit, but I was wrong :-( Many thanks in advance to anyone could can help.

The question is also how to remove the Microsoft basic video driver and prevent it from coming back. I think I am going in circles and cannot see a way out :-(

Yout DEV-ID is not supported in that driver package :nerd:
That driver package supports only DEV-ID 5874 and dev-5974.

You could make yourself a package specifically for your card using this tool I made. http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread.php?t=379516

Thanks AmiloMan! I actually tried it yesterday, but I must have done something wrong. The tool is amazing and no doubt it would work in my case if I knew what drivers to mod :-( I took the latest available drivers from the AMD site (amd-catalyst-omega-14.12-with-dotnet45-win8.1-64bit) as well as the one from filehippo (amd-catalyst-omega-14.12-with-dotnet45-win7-64bit) and FLEMmed them with the last package that had 1100 drivers mentioned within (9-2_vista64_dd_ccc_wdm_enu_75977). FLEM reported no errors, but when I tried to install the FLEMmed version the catalyst installation did not go through. Then I tried to manually install the driver and got the flickering screen :-( I rely on FLEM as the only help and would appreciate if you could create a package for me or alternatively tell me or guide me what drivers should I FLEM together. This is not so easy as I thought.

Now I started from scratch again and managed to install the original driver from the Asus DVD that came with the notebook. I have uploaded the VGA driver here (dropbox) and it installed without any problems. The resolution has improved considerably and now stands at 1280x800 (recommended), though it is a bit strange to look at that resolution. I do not know whether I can somehow force the driver to display at least 1280x1024? Would that be something that FLEM can do or I need to upgrade my laptop monitor driver as well?

If you could set the res up to 1280x1024 then it is possible to do so, but this may cause unstable screen flickering occasionally. If you want to view the resolutions that are not primarily supported by your monitor try this....

    • Right click on Desktop, select screen resolution.
    • Click on Advanced Settings.
    • click on the Monitor tab.
    • Uncheck the "Hide modes that this monitor cannot display" checkbox.

Now you should be able to see alot more resolutions and refresh rates for the monitor.

Ps: Try other versions of the latest AMD drivers, "according to user reports the omega drivers don't MOD successfully, I am yet to find out why. For now I can't replicate anything as my test machine is down.

    Happy Modding ! :)

Thanks for the tips! The monitor tab shows that it is the Generic PnP Monitor installed and the only refresh rate given is 60 Hz. The box next to "Hide modes that this monitor cannot display" is greyed out. Is there a way to change this? How do I install a different monitor driver? Or is it not advised? Would I gain anything (i.e. higher resolution in Win 8.1) if I take non-Omega drivers (which means either drivers for Win 7 64 bit or Vista 64 bit) and FLEM them with my original drivers made for Vista 64 bit. Or I am doomed with 1280x800 res whatever I do software-wise (it it is the limit of the chipset). Last thing, I found somewhere that the same graphics card as mine scored on some graphics test much higher resolution, so now I am puzzled. Was that due to DirectX? Would appreciate your answer, thanks!

Firstly I strongly recommend that you don't mess with higher resolutions and refresh rates as they can damage your laptop monitor and render it useless, its really not worth the effort. Not to mention everything will be much smaller :) say bye bye to headshots. The reason the check box is greyed out is because it is locked in the registry, you need to change a couple of registry settings to get it to work. http://lmgtfy.com/?q=Custom+Resolutions+on+ATI+/+AMD+Video+Cards+(Non-EDID+Method)+

To MOD a driver for your card you could use the drivers you posted above as base and give it a go, manufacturer drivers perform pretty well when "FLEMed".
As for the latest Omega drivers are concerned don't know if they will MOD properly, have had pretty mixed feedback about that driver. Give it a try and see if it works on your system.

    xpress 1100 under Win 7 32 bit

    Hi,

Could you help me with my xpress 1100? Actually I'm looking for drivers for my acer aspire 3100 which is running Win 7 32 bit (or I can swich to 8.1 32/64bit if easier for you :))
I was trying a drivers from the link, but even installation was successfull, ati catalyst has crashed right after the win startup.
