AMD's ATI today unleashes the Radeon HD 4670. A nice little card that packs some decent punch in the value minded consumers. The Radeon HD 4680 will roughly offer you last year's mid-range performance...

Looks like a nice alternative to a 9600GT

Superb value for money, good performance as well, especially surprising in Crysis I thought :)

nice card for its price, beats the 9500GT easily ;) (even surpasses 9600GT in crysis at low res hehe)

Woud be great card if memory woud be 256bit.. But noooo. 128bit and 2GHz is HALF of what my 3850 does.

Imagine 38xx series with 32 texture units =)

    add..

That card has only 8 ROPs , its not good thing.

You'd be looking more at 4850/4870 as an upgrade though, wouldn't you?

Skipping HD4800 series would really be a sin. Whatever you throw at them it runs without a single problem.

Would agree with that, am struggling to resist the urge to upgrade. Don't need to but you know what it's like...:)

HD4850/70 were quite good, and came big suprise i think. If you buy one of these cards you cant be wrong.

Back to topic, AMD wins another round imo, in this low end segment.

Finally a card worthy of my mini itx system...that actually fits. I'm really pleased with the power consumption features since it won't be building up heat while in desktop/non-3d mode.

    ATI -> doing the needful

No we stopped benchmaring GRID. Time wise it's nearly an impossible task to use as a benchmark.

For the cost of a game, I might get one of these. With the power savings over my card it will probably pay for itself.
One thing though... TWO display port holes? Wtf? If I can't get one with a HDMI port and a DVI port then what's the point. One display port would be sensible, completely unnecessary and useless.. but one is less crazy than two.

edit: hmmmmm I see HIS has a dual slot IceQ one of these..

no price for it yet though. That one shouldn't need a six pin power connector either should it? I'm fairly sure I have one floating around in the case anyway, but I'm not positive.

There are quite a few games the 3870 can't run. Though I assume he means maxed out, of course it can run anything on low settings. But who does that?

Had to move up to crossfire to keep my 3870 going. Very happy with the crossfiring though. And salivating over a 48xx series.

This card looks like an excellent card to put in a mid-range PC. It would play basically anything you throw at it, at high settings, at a price point of under 80 bucks. Not shabby at all.

I hope you don't actually buy from scan? Their prices are the worst among e-tailers in the uk.
