HD 7850 is somewhat faster and has lower power consumption.

What about driver errors m8. I had my old one and it made my life hell. Lol. I would go for nvidia if ati drivers are still faulty.

Pick your poison, both will kill you.

I don't think you'll run into troubles if you keep single card and properly install it.
I was using Radeon since AGP era, never got any trouble with it. Keep in mind I don't mention crossfire here.

There's no ATi... AMD bought them in 2006.

Drivers for AMD and nVidia is still 50/50. Some times you get a driver that f**ks all up and other times you hit a winner... untill the next upgrade.

Go for the HD7850 it's a bit quicker...but if you can then go for HD7870.

i would said 7850 despite AMD sh*t drivers, because it's a more recent GPU...
if you wait a bit there will be NVidia 660 and i would choise it over 560 or 7850.

both GPU would be nice anyway none are bad. it's up to you.

I use 7850 crossfire even and ive got no problems at all.
    So drivers are great imo.
All games maxed out, cant find any probs.
So 7850 all the way+it has a lot more in it with ocing, gtx 580 performance is easy reachable:p
