ATI has just introduced the above new cards ( mid range). Lets see if any of the RV7xx radeon cards can be modded in to one of these. Are you really sure 3700 with 40 stream processors & 256mb will beaten 8600 with 120 ones and 1gb or even 512mb?:biggun:
5700 may beat, however 3700 has nothing to offer in terms of performance. Just when your applications may insist you need WS card.
yah.. the 5700 is a HD4670 which is like a cut down 3850 with 128bit memory bandwidth. But since those cards are not on the market yet the current drivers doesn't support the R7X architecture yet.. but yes when the new drivers come out when these products are lauched then we'll need the new patch script for it to work.
Well if you look at SPECVIEW results for 5700 in the 3D professor link above ..you will notice that results are very near to v8600... you can find the results for v8600 on the same site
Video card: Gigabyte HD4670 (GV-R467D3-512I) I patchsript the 8.523.1.1, 8.543 driver. The Patching was ok and driver installation successful The XP recognize FirePro V5700. ATIFeatureTest.exe test was OK. The TechDemo (ATi FirePower) is not, the XP and the techdemo crashed. 3ds Max 2009, 9.0, 8.0 doesn't work the FGL 3ds max driver ("Can not load costome driver..."). Plz help sorry my very bad english
