With the release of Radeon series 5800 comes a new feature.
It's called Eyefinity. Eyefinity in short is having the ability to connect multiple monitors to your graphics card and create an extreme native...

Great review, and cracking desktop wallpaper.

Its something which interest me only from a computing point of view, which would make my life easier, and is in my pros and cons list for new GPU.

But with games it looks too buggy, a fingerprint distracts me, so the bezels would drive me mad, and would rather a very large HDTV instead, even with the lower resolution.

I was wondering how does the GPU power 3 screens.

great review! hopefully this is something games will start supporting soon.
also after seeing those videos, the bezels didn't really annoy me. as i would think
that there'd be too much going on on-screen to keep me distracted by then.

would like to see GTA IV on 3 monitors :D

There's a non-official patch to correct the aspect ratio in CoD4 when using triple monitors. I'll see if I can find it.

    Here it is:
    http://imk.cx/pc/widescreenfixer/

It fixes the aspect ratio and HUD stretch. You can see the results lower down the page showing CoD4 running on three monitors.

    link issues

Hilbert, just a heads up, when I click the link at the conclusion of the review, 'leave/read comments on this product', it takes me to the 5870 GPU review....

On another note, awesome setup. Hope ATI isn't the only one that will be doing this. *crosses fingers*

i was AMAZED with the cod4 3screen gameplay!

on the other hand i think i rather have 1-2 screens with crysis and be able to max it out..

1-2 display's for demanding games and 3 for older/less demanding ones? or just two 5870x2's :D

    Temps / core load etc

I would really like to know what kind of temps the card experiences running the 3 screens, as well as the kind of usage the core gets... I think this is a killer of a feature :)

i would assume the temps would be the same as in the crossfire review?
100% load will be 100% load, doesnt matter if you have 1 screen or 5?

    Nice. :D

The only thing I'm not a fan of, is the black bars between the actual screen. There needs to be a monitor where the screen is the size of the whole unit. :D
