I am upgrading from windows xp to windows visat soon (ulitmate final)
I was wondering, catalyst for vista is the same for all the ati cards right?
I mean if I just install catayst 11.6 for vista it would work with the ATi Radeon 9250 256mb DDr memory card right?

One more thing, I checked on a website that ati radeon 9250 is powered by and has the processor of ati radeon x800....does this mean I can use ati radeon x800 drivers for my ati radeon 9250 card? will the drivers work for it?

    Thanks for any info.

Vista has its own video card drivers, which are currently in beta stage.
The 9250 is not powered by X800. :)

Easiest for you would be to check ATI:s website:

I tried the 32-bit xp drivers with RC2 and they would not install

The latest ATI drivers for x86 caused no end of problems for me, so I rolled back to the built in ATI driver and so far all is well!!!
Though VU is installed on my lappie which has a crappy X700 so I do not use for gaming.....CS2 and other apps look good though!

My brother is using Vista with an 9800PRO and the lastest Catalyst without problems! Everything running smooth!

It seems better than the Nvidia drivers for now, on my 7800GTX the performance is like crap.
