they were using driver defaults (see testsystem).
so is "Advanced" the default settings for Catalyst AI after a fresh install ?

also I think they mentioned something about disabling Catalyst AI to avoid optimizations.

"For our benchmark, we have not yet decided to consequences, especially since we, as described above, could not identify any clear deterioration in image quality in that case, AMD assured not to increase in the current DirectX APIs 10 and 11 such format replacements. We reserve the matter still under review and try to get more background in experience "

I see a difference when it's just a screenshot that's zoomed in, but like I said before you won't notice any difference when you're in the middle of playing the game.

ai on at all it will lower IQ.
turn off ai is a way to avoid this i think
most cant see a differance ha ha yeah and you cant tell x2 aa from x4 aa also.
honestly they should throw out any results with 10.xx drivers in reviews, its the only right thing to do. dont be in denile about it would add a few frames if you can see it or not QI wise.
sad ati had to stoop this low

lol this is a funny thread/ i didnt notice the change either, but i usually play AI on normal, so that explains why things didnt change for me.

personally i think its nvidia fanboys trying to strike back at ati now , since the ati fanboys been going for nvidia for the last couple of months :D

it would be more noticable in game not in ss's.
i dont think nvidia should even be mentioned in this thread, they have nothing to do with ati pulling the wool over your blind eyes.
they release there best driver as nda is up on fermi how quaint.
two or three frames here and there the ugly way very sad for ati and its driver games

Yet from what every ATi user is reporting it sounds like in-game quality looks no different. Just a bit of ignorance here. :3eyes:

This ATi/Nvidia bashing needs to just end already. Your acting as if Nvidia has never done this, actually they've taken it a step further and dropped IQ to noticeable levels in well over dozens of games in the past.

Let me see if I can make this into an example...

Your saying that my swimming pool has 5 volts of electricity surging through it, yet here I am, unshocked and swimming, along with all the others in the pool.

Don't just believe what people say, when there's not a single person with an ATI card here who notices any difference whatsoever.

ye, i remember nvidia when it first introduced the so called optimizations back then, it was legit optimizations that gave a substantial boost and didnt really make one bit of a difference unless you really wanted to notice stuff, but people suddenly turned against nvidia saying they were cheating, nvidia then added a manual option for you to tweak the optimizations.

i think ATI here are doing it legit, i really couldn't notice any difference in IQ, mind i play all sorts of new and or obscure games, looks fine.

as you said it would've been a totally different story if there was a real noticeble loss, but i can't say there unless you blow the images up to 500% and start looking for stuff :D

LOL at Nvidia fans clutching at straws..... Fermi isn't very good guys, get over it! If history is anything to go by the Nvidia's next chip will be awesome, your time will come again.

The FX5800 made way for the 6800 series and we all know how good that was don't we.
