3dmark vantage scores improved over 9.12, will test some games tomorrow.
Nice of you to post the link, but comments like that are just stupid.
The hotfix driver adds OpenCL and a bunch of other improvements. Read the release notes. There is no point in not installing these.
it's dated dec 15.. i dunno whats going on, if they had this on dec 15 why would they release a not-hotfixed driver 2 days later and only after that this? :S
If your not going to post up something useful don't post.
if you're not going to bother reading don't expect others to do all the work for you
in the time it took you to post, you could have clicked the hotfix link and glanced over the fixes
Thanks for the great comment.I see your a stand up guy.
I read the comments and decided not to install because it does **** all for me,and for the games I play 9.12 drivers are worst then Beta 5.
So you do not have to resort to name calling.
Lol, I'm with pyr0. Takes 1 second to click the link and find out for yourself. Btw Pyr0 could you tell me if the 9.12 Hotfix has any changes to scope lag in CODMW2? Thanks
(sarcasm that last bit) <3
No you don't all ATI Card Flashing can be "easily" done within OS making sure you create a back up of BIOS before beginning. YOU DO THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK. The tools you need are:
Radeon BIOS editor
You will get BIOS from the same site (or you can just save your current BIOS as a back up reference and then mod the file to create a new BIOS).
Google tutorials on RBE and WinFlash.
Those drivers are awesome even better than the 9.12 WHQL one hope ATI keep on this with the next Catalyst
finally i hope this HOTFIX 9.12 FIX EVERYTHING i hate !
I didn't call anybody names lol. I said your comment was not needed and exagerated.
I'd try a driver cleaner to see if it solves your problem, if you have then there is something else going on. I really do not think it's the driver. I see you are trying to run Tri-Fire also. That isn't always a good idea with gaming. Benching...yes but not always with games.
They will not always perform and scale as you may think. Thus why I tend to stay away from Multi-GPU setups.
Tried to install 9.12 Hotfix two times, even following the safe method of uninstalling/running driver sweeper in safe mode.. It's reporting 9.11 as the ones installed:
go to registry and delete all keys from there
Delete 0000 and 0001, both ATI and you can check it to see > Restart > install 9.12 hotfix.
i have 0002 because of Geforce 8800GTX.
Thanks for the advice.I have been running
running and running combos of cards for years.Theres is nothing the matter with my setup.Theres nothing the matter with the drivers.
As i said before the Beta drivers are better for me.
Probably underwent some testing..
the reason it still reports 9.11 is because the hotfix drivers don't have the HKR,, Catalyst_Version,, reg key in the installer (just like the ati beta drivers)
if you were to install the hotfix drivers on a completely fresh system, the catalyst version would be completely missing from the information panel in ccc
is there any solution, how to fix cryostasis dx 10 stuttering?
Hotfix driver is running pretty good for me.
Just need to figure how far I can clock the cards now!
Tried the hotfix but removed it, reinstalled the one from ati website. Felt more stable. I still get the same awesome performance in gaming with both drivers. But the desktop was horribly washed out and had some issues with scaling that i resolved.
Btw what is the advantage in the hotfix with the open cl update?
Is it enabling stream, i am curious i also work in video editing and i am currently trying out the amd adobe premiere plug in. Great plug in btw.
I really cant seem to have any different better or worse performance when i tried hotfix and regular in the games i play or work. I dont xfire.
in this set i can´t get ati supporthelp to install, always fails but who needs support anyway when you are here. Working great so far.
