    Windows 10 Preview?

I will update the profile system to support the game, however you can
try using the iLegacy Performance Switcher to resolve the issue as it is
capable of resolving artifacts. (Well, for some games.)

Yea, I forgot about Vista. I suppose I could change the download link or
incorporate an alternate method that's universal.

Also I am considering to recode the Alternate installer in c++ for more options
but I haven't decided yet, so we'll see how that goes.

I think I will have to take a look at your system using Team Viewer, so
I may gain a better understanding of the problem you are facing.

To be honest I haven't had much experience with dynamic switchable
graphics, even the profiling system I'm working on only supports Fixed
Switchable graphics as dynamic Switchable Graphics requires a bit more
work. Anyways, if we have team viewer session it might help shed some
    light on things.

I guess I will give it a try later. Some users reported performance gains.
Did you experience any when attempting to play a game? BTW how is
    the new start menu?

Just a tip: if you want to use this driver With Windows 10, I recommend to set Compatibility mode to Windows 8 (I got BSOD without it).

Thanks for the effort which prolonged the life of my HD3850, upgraded yesterday to another video card. Thank you once again.

    Hello !

I have a HD4870 on Windows 8.1 x86, and I was using this driver (12.11 modded driver) for some months.
At the beginning I had no hardware acceleration on flash (Green screeb on YOUTUBE fullscreen), but with an update of Flash itself, it came quite quickly.

Everything was perfect until yesterday.. I lost this hardware acceleration !

Green is back on youtube ! (disabling the hardware acceleration on flash is NOT an acceptable sollution).

Do you have any idea of what happened ? It just stopped working when I turned my computer ON yesterday !!

I tryed to update Flash, it didnt change anything.

Is there a sollution to this ?
Another driver ? Something else ?

    Thank you in advance

EDIT : I tried the lFlash GPU Acceleration switcher, all I had was a green screen even not on fullscreen :D
It does'nt make the hardware acceleration work.

Wow, that's great to hear, I want to give it a try but windows 8.1 is pretty
stable on my end. So, I've decided to wait until Windows 10 Consumer
    preview gets released.

Hmm, I think that depends on how you decide to install the driver as
the alternate installer should have different results when compared
    to using the AMD Setup.

You're welcome. I'm happy to hear you're upgrading your GPU since legacy
    support does have it's limits.

Hmm, if an automatic Flash Update was the cause of your green screen
then downgrading it should also fix it.

if Enabling HyperV in Windows 8 was the cause then disabling it would
also fix the Green Screen Bug.

Anyways, I think I can resolve this issue via the profile system. But
since I'm still working on it. I may release a patch.

Can you provide your Graphic Card Device ID?

Is it what you asked for ? I'm not sure.

I don't think there was an automatic update of flash... Anyway, I've tried some stuff, reinstalling latest version of flash, reinstalling this driver, ...
Also with the computer, I feel like everything is slower since yesterday...
I checked for recent installed programs, malwares, ... it's not this.

For the Hyper-V, i've always used it (with VirtualBox) and it was working perfectly. I didn't change any settings about it recently. I don't think it is connected.

    Thank you for answering !

Yes the Ven_ID is correct. If your system feels slower and you've already
tried restarting it. You should check to see what speed your PCI Express
slot is running your GPU at. Usually 8x and 16x allows you to use your
system normally. But below that can result in Green Screen and or
    slowdown of system operation.

HyperV should not affect your system if it's enabled in a virtual environment
However, If you have to enable it within your current environment for it
to be pass to Virtual environment. It should result in a green screen.

This is the only driver that I managed to make work on my system (apart from the absolutely horrendous HP drivers).

    Thank you tremendously.

    I checked, it's x16. Here is a printscreen of GPUz :

Edit : I'm lost with CCC. Which version should I install to have access to
    Catalyst A.I ??

Ah, you're welcome. Did you use the Alternate Installer or the AMD Setup?

Hmm, your PCI-E is running your GPU at x1. The very first information to
the left refers to the max supported speed of your PCI-E Slot. The
information that comes after the @ refers to what your GPU is currently
    running at.

Catalyst Control Center can also display hardware information if you go
to the information section. If you take a look at it, your GPU should
also be running at 1x. To resolve the issue you would need to re-seat
your graphic by making sure it's firmly connected to your motherboard.

    Other Thoughts
Legacy CCC and the OlderV CCC should be able to display Catalyst AI
settings for use. I'm not quite sure about the latest Version as I don't
use it since it lacks options.

Ouch yeah, you are right ! I will try to resolve this x1 issue !

Edit : OK, i cleaned it all, and now it's at x16 :D Thanks a lot for this !
    gpuz.techpowerup.com/14/10/13/4yx.png

COD is running smoothly again :D , and I think firefox is a little bit faster on scrolling big pages

But the Green screen in Flash is still there

That's great to hear. Btw, how did you setup Hyper V? Previously
I tested it on Windows Server. To enable it I had to Setup my bios
to support VT and also enabled it in Control Panel. However, the Operating
System enables it Globally and this would result in DXVA Green
    screen Playback issues.

So, were you able to setup Hyper V without enabling it in Control Panel
on your normal working system or was that just done for the Virtual PC?

    EDITED
It's been a few years since I attempted to use a Virtual PC so
I'm allocating some space Test it again as my previous system
was a lot slower than my current system.

    So,

After fixing this x1 x16 issue, I uninstalled and reinstalled the driver, and IT'S WORKING :D
Hardware Acceleration is back on Flash !

Thank you for your help !

About Hyper V, I was saying crap. I checked and it is VT-x that I was speaking about.
I know nothing about Hyper V... Sorry !

Oh I see, Well, I'm glad to have assist you in getting your system
    back to it's previous state.

    Other Thoughts
I'm still curious about the question I asked above so I suppose
I will get the answer later after testing it.

The AMD setup. I then performed the GPU restart. Still haven't bothered installing catalyst control center. Is it worth a try?

Catallyst Control allow you configure the driver settings. You can either turn
up or turn off settings in attempt to gain higher fps. However the
gains aren't much......(1-5 fps or more). If you have issues with scaling
(Black Borders when using HDMI or a laptop you should be able to use
    it to correct that problem.

Now, with that said, I would only use CCC if I need it. My current
setup uses CCC to Overclock my GPU (Minor Nothing over the top)
and set Mismap Detail Level to performance. Which provides a minor
    performance boost on my end.

    Other Thoughts
Setting it to High Performance can lead to texture problems for
    some games.

Hmm, try using the GPU Restarter. It's possible DXVA may have become
corrupted during installation of the driver. This can occur if drivers
were in correctly uninstalled or possibly due to windows driver update.

    Other Thoughts
Does this only apply to one type of video or all videos?

When FIFA World gets full-screen, display bug occurs. I tried, but result is the same in both HD4850 and HD4650
