THAT put a smile on my face today, "Give to him a 5970 that not work" should be for everyone here in ATI forum a head and nerves bracker :giggle2: . It looks to be the ultimative punishment for an ATI guy.

Well, with the crappy crossfire support, 5970 never really worked, right ? ...*start running*

Actually the 5970 is a very fast card (guess the fastest card on the market until today??) and one 5970 does its internal crossfire very well and internal crossfire worked from release date in 90% of the games in the market.
Ah, and yes: two 5970's crossfired on a single screen give you framerates in all crossfire supported games, you won't believe !

Guess you are talking about two 5970's crossfired in Eyefinity??
That works too .. now .. - thanks to TwL, who spend numerous hours to make it work! And finally this has been noticed by ATI and they started support in 10.7a and now promised further improvement in 10.8.

Let's see what today new set will bring.

    I was just kidding :)

But, crossfire users have more problems than single gpu users. Plus i read on a lot of forums that, since 10.4/10.5a, crossfire is worse than before.
