Ok I absolutely loved the driver. it was smooth in nfs shift, avp 2, and all the rest of the new games got a nice performance boost with these about 5fps boost avg.

HOWEVER these do not play well with older games, the games in question are ones I currently deem the best in there class, Sir Techs Wizardry 8 & Ion Storms Dues Ex 1. both refused to run no matter what settings I chose.

So because of this I am going back to the 10.5a's 8.74 driver set.
they work with everything & VLC is something I do not use I use the Microsoft media player classic build 1.3.1249.0. it works just fine with acceleration and is compatible with everything.

Actually it DOES work as I tried the game yesterday morning and AA was definitely on. It's the setting I've been using since I bought the game earlier on this year (on Ultra settings at 1920x1200).

My guess is that Wings of Prey uses its own custom developed AA, probably because the engine uses deferred lighting which normally isn't compatible with MSAA when using DX9. Looks great to me, much better than the edge-detect crap that usually passes for AA (LEGO Harry Potter, I'm looking at you!!!).

Two driver revisions on and they still cant get the basics right, Terry,I am not impressed. 10.5a remains as the only fast/stable driver so far for the games that I play regularly. 10.6 was an abomination and 10.7 is better, but waaay off the mark.

P.S 10.5a is faster in BFBC2 than 10.7, its very slight, but as I am v sensitive to fps ,its a huge let down.

No it doesnt delete everything ATI related, some things stil have to be manually removed (3 video locations in the register), and also it doesnt remove previous installed driver (where windows made a backup).

I have had to use driver cleaner, ati crap cleaner, and manually delete drivers (device manager) and certain entries in the register to remove all.

Since driver 10.6 & 10.7 I'm having longer loading times, in DiRT2. When starting-up the game, I see the DiRT2 logo, in a couple of seconds it's gone. This DiRT2 splash-up going faster away, then with 10.5 drivers.

But when I wanna race, I see my racing stats during the loading screen. Seeing a couple of my stats. Which I don't have with driver 10.5. Just load and done.

Man, you are still using old client of BFBC2. Use updater in BFBC2's folder. I can show you my new menu but I'm lazy to upload. Great to hear that these drivers rock for BFBC2. Just reinstalled new OS Win7 x64. Need to try when I will be free to play

I'm still on 10.5a... debating whether or not to try 10.7.

Like you, I tried 10.6 and immediately saw huge performance drops in BC2. And it also introduced never-before-seen MICROSTUTTERING into other games like CoD4 and MW2. I reverted to 10.5a and the problems went away.

But since I have a Multi-GPU card like you, it is recommended to keep up with driver updates. AMD was on a roll with 10.5a, no idea what happened when 10.6 rolled around.

tried the 10.7 whql with and without profile.
preferred the 10.8 beta's as they seemed smoother than these.

    yeah...

i can see the difference after i using 10.8b..

before this i use 10.7 whql and 10.7 beta..

can see significant drop when smoke and bomb in medal of honor bota..

with 10.8b, better now.. no lag anymore..

i think 10.6 is better than 10.7 now..

I am little confused. Will the hotfix make an option for AA in the games options menu or forced AA in catalyst control panel will work with SC2?

These drivers are causing Heaven Benchmark (both versions) to hang when rendering using openGL 4.0, No probs with 10.5's, back to them it is then! best drivers by far for me this year!
