I had awful performance as well but I switched off "EAX sound" in the menu and it ran sweet after that

C2D with the new profiles after half an hour, pretty piss poor.

After months of 10.3, 10.4 and 10.5 all being poor for my HD4870, I'm pleased to say all things are fine for me with 10.6, massive gains across the board and bfbc2 levels load in like 8 seconds rather than 50!

If anything, I'll be apprehensive of moving driver when 10.7 arrives....

    Tried Crossfire Application 23/6:

It's night and day with the early version ...

    Acatama + 2 other Jungle maps 32/32 Multiplayer: All maxed -16xAF/8xAA -

    - Average 110fps, min around 80fps... (max go higher of 170fps ) benchs cut on menus (too much variations and dont' reflect ingames min fps and max, who cares to have 199fps in menu, loading or 40fps min at this time . )

FPS are fixed for crossfire, need more test for see if some bugs ( grey screens) occurs.

The low framerate in the menus/loading screens isn't a problem in itself but it does mean that the transition from those to the game screen is more sluggish than it should be, at least it is on my machine where it's almost painful to watch at times.

As much as it pains me to do, I will be going back to 10.5b, will wait for 10.7/10.8 if I have to, until ATi puts in an effort.
