    @Alexis444

Only the ATI 6000 series can use it , but the ATI 5000 series will support/use it probably with CAT 10.11

Dam, I would like to see what all my games look like enabled.
I would like to know what Nvidia's response is?

    "Cheap parlor tricks!"
    "Fake IQ improvements!"
"Why haven't we thought of this?"

Something along that line in that order.

More likely create a derivation of MLAA that only runs on CUDA and then forcing TWIMTBP games to only have optimizations for their MLAA, since it's post-processing don't think if it can be disabled on AMD.

    Or maybe:

Step 1: Can we disable a MLAA feature on AMD? If yes go to step 2.

Step 2: TWIMTBP games disable MLAA on AMD.

it definitely blurs the scene a bit but that is to be expected.
it might be a solution for games that have no AA by design like GTA4
I would not use it on game that has proper AA support though

ps: can someone try it on GTA4 and post a few screenshots? or Gothic 4

I don't find it blurring in some games with proper AA support, so it differs from game to game.

    .

So am I understanding this right.
This technique should be soon available on the 5xxx series...but will there be a big performance hit? There is no hardware included for it right?
And the 6xxx support it without a performance hit? Or is that a rumor?

The font in SC2 is distorted a bit by the blur with 24 Edge Adaptive AA and MLAA.

    .

Ok, I got it running on my 5850.
Anyone else get some serious input lag with it enabled? 30fps +
    *edit*
So far lag is only is the Saboteur.

    As for smoothvision HD anti-aliasing
Should I leave "use application settings" on or off when using this?

If i remember correctly, i've read on Rage3D forum that the target Catalyst for Official 5XXX support of MLAA is 11.02

I have found out. If I turn on the MLAA. Some programs like iTunes, the window/graphic/picture will twisted/blured if I stop move the mouse pointer.

I am using 5970 and win7 x64. I wish AMD know this kind of funny things and fix it. I know it's not official support yet. but don't bring this funny thing to official release.

Well that really does suck considering that someone got it working on the HD 5000 card within hours of ATI releasing the 10.10a Hotfix drivers. OK so it may not be working optimally but it *is* working except in DX10/11 games (most of which don't need it anyway).

So why does will it take ATI another four months to basically add a registry tweak? :3eyes:
