I got a very substantial FPS increase in both COD4 and Stalker, so much so that I was able to increase the resolution in both games from 1680x1050 to 1920x1200 and still get better FPS. I am pretty sure that the 2nd GPU was not working under 8.2 but now it is under 8.3. I launched the 8.3 installed chose the unistall option, rebooted, then ran the installer again using the install option, rebooted and verified the driver version was for 8.3. CCC works great. I am using Vista x64

Assasin's creed was released on pirate bay. The official version is still not yet released. He must be playing a hacked copy.

Hmm. I uninstalled an old 7.3 from my friend's PC with 9600Pro (own uninstaller and guru3d sweeper) and instaled this 8.3 and now I had to manually start explorer.exe every time when windows start and I can not start up CCC.
    ****, I will never buy...

CCC requires unfortunaly .net 2 framework. Do you have it installed?

Yes .NET 1.1, .NET2.0 and .NET 3.5 have installed (with service packs and updates from microsoft update)
I reistalled (with redownload from different sources: guru3d, ati, and one with google) 8.3 but CCC was still death and some time windows did not want to start up.

I removed this 8.3 and intalled 8.2. Now everthing is fine. 8.2 better that the old one. But this is another bad rememblance from ATI (for me...).

Ok so after much reading and alot of testing I mean alot. These Cats 8.3 are great they have their bugs but the newer features offered are excellent. When these mature a bit more I only see good things coming. First off I would like to explain how this new crossfire workswell at least well how I percieve it works. If you are running games at low resolutions only 2 cores will work as you raise the resolution as well AA, AF and other features the third and fourth cores kick in that in itself is not a bad feature. But when the user (me) has no control of how many cores work at any given time well that kinda sucks. If I pay for 1,2,3 or 4 video cards I want to control what works when for example when running Benchmarks, Another thing I have noticed after much testing is crossfire often still causes more instability issues low FPS, Stutters, Etc. However on a side note I have seen great strides from when it was first released. I see in the future the problems with crossfire as a thing of the past. I know Ati/AMD is striving to make crossfire as transparent as possible meaning you can't even tell the difference from one video card to crossfire aside from increased performance. However they also need to keep in mind that the majority of users that purchase High end systems with multiple video cards want full functionality. I Would also like to see ATi/AMD also fix issues with outputs to HDTV's allowing crossfire to work in every resolution For Example I have my pc hooked to a 50 Inch Samsung HLR5087W for the most part crossfire works but like 1280 X 1024 it won't work there are othere resolutions that do not work as well. Thats about the only thing that ticks me off. Crossfire worked without issue's on my HDTV until the release of Cats 7.4 every since then it is limited to certain resolutions but all resolutions on my tv work up 1920 X 1080 just not all work with crossfire.
