I had a ati sapphire 4670 with 10.12 drivers, I took it out and replaced it by a 6950. drivers didn't work with the 6950 so I removed them, including running driver sweeper and I installed the 10.12A hotfix drivers. they work fine now, but I got the old ccc and I cant find any power tune settings. can somebody help me with getting the latest and greatest drivers for the new series card's and or tell me where I can find power tune options?
It doesn't matter do you use old or new. Both comes with 'Power Tune Options' except that unless you got an CrossfireX setup you'll do nothing with them where they are ment to be used. You can add the options easiest with tweaks from this topic: http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread.php?t=332395 Latest and greatest? heh.. There haven't yet been even the earliest for your hardware unless we count the 10.12a. As for new CCC you will not be able to install it as there's issue with the card detection at the CCC Panel last I heard under my topic.
(Already posted this in the 10.12a hotfix-thread) Found a way of installing CCC2 along with 69xx cards: - install any driver you want; dont install CCC1 (if CCC1 is already installed remove it before proceeding) - download and extract (not install) the catalyst 10.12 CCC2 preview ones - in the extracted install-folder (usually in C:\AMD\...) go to "Packages\Apps\CCC2" - manually install all of the msi-files which are within the subdirectories of "CCC2" - if you have a 64bit-machine only use the "64-folders" of "fuel" and "utility" - if you have a 32bit-machine only use the "non 64-folders" of "fuel" and "utility" That does the trick for me. CCC2 runs flawlessly with two 6970 in CF (10.12a hotfix drivers) except that the entry in the context-menu when right-clicking on the desktop is missing for some reason. Side note: If you want to uninstall CCC2 you might find CIM (catalyst install manager) not offering an appropriate option under custom uninstall. In this case you have to re-run the setup of the msi-files you previously installed and select "Remove" from within the setup of the corresponding files (its just the basic Microsoft-Installer - MSI - stuff).
