So it does have impact to others too ? I'm not interested in Asus, but what about others like Gigabyte, MSI, Foxconn, etc ?

You can be sure that if a leading company like ASUS is going for this route, others will follow as well. I am expecting in general a price increase for PC components due to inflation in labor costs and energy costs. The workers of China are coming into grips with many years of getting underpaid for their work and demanding higher wages. This will have repercussion on the overall supply chain.

As always when once incrases prices everyone follows suit.

Time to move the industry to Africa or somewhere if the Chinese are demanding higher pay ;)

China has the infrastructure system in place and geographic advantage many African nations don't. As much as the U.S. touts it has the most productive worker on the planet, these chips and boards making Chinese factory employees work 60+ hours every week and sleeps at company dorm while the company is paying them less than $5 per day. Not too many countries on earth can match what the Chinese is offering.

China also externalizes a ton of its costs. Their rare earth production has turned part of Mongolia into a radioactive waste*... or at least it would be a wasteland if they cared enough to keep people out of the contamination :p
