That board is $411 here, no thank you. I'd rather take a $100 Gigabyte board which overclocks better.

Angel has only 1 G in it dude.

This board looks really incredible. Its £320 here in the UK which is rather off putting, the most Ive spent on a board is £250 on this UD7, and my Bloodrage. However, if I hadnt just got the giga a couple of months ago this would have seriously tempted me!

Nice review btw hilbert - liking the Bios video, great idea.

I don't think it does according to the specs:

    Storage
    Intel® ICH10R Southbridge
    -6 x SATA 3.0 Gb/s ports
-Intel Matrix Storage Technology Support RAID 0,1,5,10
    JMicron® 363 controllers:
    - 1 x SATA 3.0 Gb/s port (Black)
    - 1 x External SATA 3.0 Gb/s port (SATA On-the-Go)
    Marvell® PCIe SATA 6Gb/s controller
    - 2 x SATA 6.0 Gb/s ports (Red)

*Not to thread jack, but I just wanted to add that the Asus Crosshair IV is now available at Frys for $230 (well at least my location). Its pretty much the AMD version of the Rampage, with SataIII, USB3, onboard SupremeFX, DDR3 1866, PCIe 16 x 4, PCI x 2 and more.

But no Raid on the Marvell Chip is a no go for me!

Boards from other Companys or the Asus Mainstreamboard P6X58D-E

have Raid Support in their Marvell Controller....

And the Highend Board Rampage III doesnt have Raid what is this for ****?

    PS: Sorry for my english

I'm surprised they haven't corrected for the fact that this board DOESN'T have an NF200 chip in the review.

EDIT: Good to see it's been updated :)

ASUS Rampage III and RAID on 6G Marvel Controller

There seems to be some erroneous info going around on the Ramoage III and its support for RAID on the 6Gb controller. According to ASUS, there is RAID capability. See their update on the board reviews at newegg.com:

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131642

    Manufacturer Response: Dear Valued Customer,

"Thank you for reviewing this motherboard. However, this board does support RAID 0/1/5/10 on SATA III. In order to access the RAID configuration utility for SATA6G you must first enter the BIOS and set the SATA6G option to 'AHCI'. Then you can save an exit the BIOS and during POST upon reboot press Ctrl+M to enter the RAID configuration utility. If you need further assistance, please contact us at OC_Support and reference case number NE0480."

    Best Regards,

    ASUS Support Team

    sound???

You left out the most obvious difference and one reason I probably will not buy this board - where is the PCI soundcard?
    Did I miss it?
Or have Asus dumped it and gone back to the old system found on much more pedestrian boards?
And is there a PCI slot available for a soundcard?
I would be grateful of an answer
