Gimme two, who cares that I can't live without a single kidney.
Seriously though, way too expensive even for what they are. 2600+ Euros (3100$-) for the Acer and 2700+ (3200$+) for the ASUS here in Norway, they're not worth over four times what I got my XB271HU for.

Reminds me of the CRT period when 20" NECs rang the bell @ $2k+, and that was at a time when the $ would buy considerably more than it does today...;)

How is this news? They've been listed in EU for at least one and a half months already

I thought I reached far to buy this $1300 PG348. That was more money than I ever expected to pay for a monitor, but I was in the mood to treat myself to something truly ultimate and badass. $2-3000 though? Haha, sorry. They can't convince me its worth HALF that price. Seriously, I wouldn't pay $1,500 for it, not at 27". The 35" ultrawide version could go for $1,500, but that's where reason ends for me. Its fine though. They are selling these to the people who pay $1,200 for a graphic card (or two) and just aren't bothered by any of it. Let them pay for all this crap until the prices come down (and tech gets better) in the next few years.

I wonder if there is going to be an Alienware monitor with the same specs.

    =))) hahahaha.
So let me get this, 1 year ago, they announced it at a price tag of 2000 euros. They postponed it, so they can sell the same crap at 2500 euros!?
    hahahahaha, stupid a$$ mofos.
    f*ck g-sync, f*ck 144hz and f*ck 27" at that price tag.
Getting lg-32UD99-W 4k hdr10 for 900 euros months ago best decision ever, to enjoy hdr10 and 4k on my ps4.

Good luck selling them with that price. If it was 38" ultra wide then maaaaay be I would understated, but only 27"?? @ 4K even at 1K this doesn't make sense.

And what about the 32" or so variants? Haha... What a joke.

Wonder what a Freesync version will cost. Thank you AMD for letting Freeysnc be not charged any extra.

The pricing is silly, but the target demographic of these is probably the same bunch who buy Titan cards.

There may not be a freesync version of this panel, Nvidia worked directly with AU Optronics on this one. I assume a variant with similar specs will come out eventually but it probably won't be like it was with the XB27/PG panels in the past where the same panel gets freesyncified. The exclusivity is also probably why it costs so much.. that and the number of people buying a monitor over $1500+ is probably 6 and only falls off to 5 at like $3000.

When I first bought a monitor that was $800 I felt it was the ultimate and monitors wouldn't get more expensive than that. I never expected it. Now we got a bunch at or over $1000 and now THREE GRAND! $600 is still a lot to spend on a monitor and will get you something really damn nice like the one you got.

For that price they better be cherry picked, pixel perfect, without backlight bleed etc. IF I ever spent 2,5K for a monitor, I would not accept any faults whatsoever.

    any other company got 4k 144hz ?
if no... then like usual "high-end" price, ie. not "real" price

for this price, this display should have professional display color accuracy
