No LEDs and complicated stuff, a PCB, solder traces and connectors, that's what you get from ASUS if you are on a budget. ... ASUS Offers Simple NVIDIA SLI HB Bridge
Well, all I'll say is this: you've already spent a lot of money on at least a pair of 1070s, why not spend a little bit extra and get the upmarket version, which is built so solidly I swear a tank could run over it and end up with broken treads.
too bad more than half the game dont support sli anymore, i really want to go sli with two 1070, but at this point i dont feel like wasting 500 $ more cnd for a card i can only use maybe 30-40 % of the time
You mean the metallic cap on top of the bridge? The build quality of the actual bridge is the same...
I have the same thing but with ASRock branding. Ditched SLI though, no one is taking advantage of it anymore. Remember when Doom was supposed to improve SLI? Remember when they were supposed to test Async Compute with Pascal? So far, only Nixxes has succeeded in patching SLI DX12 decently. Not counting ashes since it's native DX12.
G-Sync, different types of SLI bridges in 2016... It's a matter of time before Novidia start selling additional CUDA cores for GPU.
But don't these come free with motherboards? I've got a drawer full of these that look exactly the same
When I have used crossfire or SLI setups in the past, I always used plain bridges. I don't like all those fancy lights, and shields and what not! Too much for me. I like it simple and clean!
