So I think this adapter is 2.4ghz only, my router spectrum wifi 6 router is 2.4ghz and 5ghz combined (can not be un combined as this wifi 6 router is pretty much locked down) and no i not buy a new router as a router price is already included in monthly cost and get my own router wont lower price. ( i asked already) I know adapter worked as when I had the older spectrum router it was 2.4ghz and 5ghz separate, you could choose which band you wanted and it saw 2.4gh only. But I put n13 b1 adapter on computer for my dad as wired requires hole drilled and i didnt want to do that. It see everyone wifi but not mine, which are all 2.4ghz range from what i can see. Disc drivers, asus site drivers windows defualt drivers none them see my wifi. is there fix for this? as i prefer to use asus adaptor as newer. but it wont see the wifi, and the Netgear WNA3100 which also only 2.4ghz does see my wifi but windows 10 dont install drivers for I had to manual down load them after after which it saw my wifi.
would not know it locked down, all i know is it wifi 6 router, and i know the netgear WNA3100 adaptor work fine with it
@tsunami231 This adapter seems prerty old, maybe this is how your hardware tells you it wants to retire. Did you download the drivers from ASUS or other source?
from asus, and that WNA3100 same wifi class yet wna3100 works after drivers are manual installed. Asus site drivers dont make it work on the router, I am convinced has has something to do with drivers not seeing routers that are 2.4ghz and 5ghz combined. i guess it moot anyway, I put the pc together for dad and he probably isnt gona use it, in 6 months I will probably just gut it and repurpose stuff like SSD and try sell the rest I starting to think WNA3100 from netgear is actual newer then asus n13 b1? at from what i reading? it also warm like with few minutes it to warm imo but yet it probably moot
