Whenever I see dual socket, it takes me back to 1999. I was quite proud of the dual p2-400mhz beast I created. Had to call around and get matching stepping on the chips and run NT 4.0 to get it to recognize multiple processors. You kids have it easy these days
Takes me back to the days of my BP6 running dual celley's, still one of the best boards I've ever owned
Me too. Just installing the liquid cooling would be fun, never mind the rest. It's a beast of a mobo. Having one of those must be like flying an fighter jet. :tomcat:
Have a farm of those, all with 72 threads, and head for the runner up of Nobel prize for biology? j/k
I wish these made good gaming boards, but the fact that most Windows apps are not NUMA aware means in many situations you will loose performance. Better off putting the cash into a 6 or 8 core Haswell if you need threads.
