I currently own the Asus PG279Q and it's been amazing, hope they'll do a 4K version of this as it will go nice paired with the new graphics cards coming out later this year

Scared of price though, even just for this monitor :(

I have the same one I believe, this looks like quite minor upgrades from it. The 165hz to 175hz, same resolution but on a nicer panel, 32inch rather than 27. Also 600hdr but doesn't say if that's full screen or part screen...

My guess is will be stupidly expensive, monitor prices have sky rocketed from Asus and I can never understand why. I got this monitor 5ish years ago maybe more now, for about £650. But all these monitors that come out are easily exceeding £1000, which makes zero sense when they are just small upgrades they do each year to them.

I remember when that 4k hdr monitor came out at a lovely 5k, I knew then the monitor market had gone super greedy. If this is over 1k then I considering it not worth it, it isn't oled, it isn't micro led, it's old school ips which is fine but not if they charge insane money for it

I wonder, are there actually any new monitors being made with the g-sync module? All I've seen from the new stuff is g-sync compatible, even on the super high end like Samsung Odyssey G7&9.

I got PG279q and it was by 900€ back then. But its an actual real G-Sync.
I bet this one will be 1 grand without G-Sync Module .... Only nice thing is Quantum Dot but i prefer LG Nanocell somewhat more. Don't know why.

Yup, not bad but still this is very old tech.
    No dimming zones etc.
IMhO is better (if You have good monitor) to wait for next-gen.

This HDR garbage on how they approve it needs to go the way of the DODO!

Whole panel HDR standard should be advertised not some four by four pattern on screen that can reach six hundred nits brightness!!

When are they going to get away from the marketing that is false advertisement?!?

Maybe you know, maybe you dont... just fyi.... If you are OK with 24" 1080p, you will be fine with 32" 1440p. Same PPI.

There is no thing like fake monitors.
I have an OLED TV I do not need to worry for black crush and burn in. I prefer my Samsung Odyssey for all day powered on usage. I have work and life to do. Fake to you, very real and joy to me. ;)

Monitors are here to stay. Will never leave us. Asus have great monitors for their price.

This is why i got Sony x900H 55" TV, it has 4K 120hz (real 10 bit) with next gen TV turner, real HDR (FALD) plus HDMI 2.1 for next gen gpu and consoles (ALM, VRR, etc) $969 without taxes (US). do not want to pay again ASUS tax for their monitors, how a 4K 144hz monitor from ASUS 43" is $1,500 but Sony is more advance is every level is only $969 or $999 (non best buy member).

    I still think 32" needs 4K not 1440p.
Coupled with g-sync or free sync
    1ms
    And HDR what ever!

But I see some monitors saving money on their stands, it needs to be adjustable forward back up and down too!

It just needs 4k and g'sync and that's an easy monitor purchase. 2021 better deliver.

Depending on price this may be a lovely compromise of resolution and features. I personally have no issue with 2K 32" which should be pretty easy to drive at 150+ FPS in most games.

You lose pixel density, but I like 32/1440. Easier to see stuff/enemy on your monitor. Have a LG 32/1440/165Hz monitor and love it. Do wish it had IPS panel though. Also have a ROG 27/1440 and 34/Ultra Wide. LG is my go to gaming monitor.
