I even had this with AC2 though. One time I started it and it was a stuttery mess, the next time I started it and it was buttery smooth. Same level/memory, same path. Can't say what the reason could be.

You sure it was AC2? AC2 ran smooth as smooth can be on my 4870 and gtx 460. AC:R was terrible on the other hand .. the first one to be ported by Ubi K :puke2:

I've got the game running smooth now, maxed out with SweetFX. Only setting I have to drop is Physx to Low (High makes it stutter big time). The gameplay and setting are more great and the graphics look awesome.

I got that yesterday. It took about 10 seconds to update and the game started right away.

I'm playing Brotherhood at the moment, I have to say that I did enhance AA with TrAA though... and SweetFX :D So it might get a little heavy here and there :p

Don't worry bro it's the game not your system. It's CPU bound not GPU bound that's why lowering resolution does not help.

AC2 stutters like mad when i had vsync enabled. Always disable it and you're fine

Works absolutely perfectly here, AC2. I'm using D3DOverrider though. In AC IV in game v-sync is triple buffered so it's really bad. On top of that framerate is limited to 62,5 FPS or so which means that max FPS in my case would be ~37,5 FPS because my screen is 75 Hz if I would use the in game v-sync.

My CPU must be an absolute beast because I've been getting great performance all around. I've no problems maintaining 60 @ 2560x1440 but I decided to check my FPS at 5120x2880. That's everything max with SMAA. Not bad :)

I lost my game save last week and tbh I lost my install as well, life with multiple drives ..
anyways all this hardware talk sure ain't helping me get back into it and think about downloading and restarting it again,
    thats for sure
at this raid i'll await the next dlc or never return.
totally great game though, of course. if ac5 doesn't have PhysX then forget it.
so it runs good for some bad for others, well chit, welcome to pd gaming, try reinstall your os on a clean drive perhaps, forget it.

Runs great for me I only need 30FPS in 3rd person action adventure anyways set to adaptive half rate in driver and max the game out smooth as silk. If I were just at sea pirating I can maintain 60 but I drop to the high 40's in any inhabitated island and the screen tear starts.
