Weird, my profile 1 saves work while my profile 2 doesn't save at all.
I guess I am the only one who is having this issue? Also max refresh rate is only 60Hz? :3eyes:
Didn't understand the 60Hz thing either. Maybe they wanted to keep 3D users from trying something stupid? Hard to say really.
Anyone else having minor issues with SLI in this game? The game seems to scale and run fine but as soon as it starts raining the reflections on the objects/ground start flickering all over the place, this is not happening when SLI is disabled. I did a clean driver install of 331.93 and the game is updated so that shouldn't be the problem.
I don't have the flickering, SLI seems to work fine, just that it can't keep 60 fps all the time... it has dips in 40s and 50s at times.
You can manually edit the ini files for whatever refresh you want.
I have mine on 75hz, not locked at 60.
That's weird. I had no issues with FPS drops below 60 when I had 680SLI (didn't use D3DO). Just once when I took over a fort, there was a lot of smoke and fog which proved to be quite taxing.
I saw the same thing. I guess this is the only real issue I had with SLI. Otherwise the game ran a TON better with SLI on than off.
Does anyone know about the possibility of increasing the Draw Distance in the game? Its horrible IMO.
Welcome to Anvil. Unfortunately, we're stuck with crappy LOD. Ubisoft really needs to ditch this engine I think.
Thanks for the welcome
It just feels like I've bleed google dry in search of a solution to the "pop ins'" present in the game. I remember it being possible in Skyrim and previous Assassins Creed games by editing the .ini files. ( DistanceLOD=0 I believe had to be edited to a higher value, can't remember though ) But after having finally found the ini files for the game, the settings to edit, just aren't present.
What resolution were you on? I'm playing at 2560x1440 (all maxed and 2x smaa iirc), the drops are weird because it doesn't look as if it hits vram limit since usage is at like 1700-1800 ~ MB, they do happen more often in intense smoke scenes. Game is quite playable though, and since I'm not using vsync anyway, it's ok. I did have some drops in AC3 too initially but after many patches game ran smooth.
Oh, that's probably why. I was running at 1920x1200, all maxed an 4xTXAA. But the 680s do not seem to handle smoke very well. Maybe it's something common across the whole nVidia line?
AC4 wins Gamespot's PS4 GOTY...
How do I enable steam overlay for the Uplay only version? I add AC4BFSP.exe via add non-steam game but I don't get the overlay when I press shift tab.
This is the improvement I get by pressing C-A-D .. lol. Feels like 50-60fps the entire time instead of 30 and sub-30 fps.
Why does pressing C A D have an effect on framerate?
No idea .. something to do with triple buffering. I read this on pcgaming wiki and it actually works.
Finally got my Templar armor, and Edward (or JAX from Sons of Anarchy as I like to call him ) looks damn bad-ass together with Ezio's swords and cannon-barrel pistols. Also, I'm only at 58% with the game and have over 50 hours in it, nice!
Mayan armor looks way better :nerd:
