So AC4 will involve pirates of the carribean?!
How the hell do I get the special iron bar that I need to make the special weapons after I have already beat the game ??
iirc they are limted and you get them from treasure chests and the missions you send your assassins to complete.
Ubisoft going a bit ass backwards aren't they?
My Assassin's have completed all of their missions and have yet to turn up with any special iron ingun....
Any further thoughts?
It's crap man, even if nvidia claims that is performance improvements in the game with latest driver, the game still plays like ****, with environment quality on latest level, could not obtain solid 60fps in large areas. And ubisoft really doesn't care about the problem, i guess if new AC was announced t his game remains un-fixed forever.
So I "recompleted" sequence 4 A Boorish Man and the the crate that was hidden below the homestead cliffs was available again, however when I opened it and return to my manor, I am still listing the special iron ingut as unavailable..... wtf?? Every time I open the crate I am only offered a new weapon unlocked and a new upgrade available..... However still no special iron ingut.
That is the same problem I am having with no solution found so far.
Just got AC3 running on my new rig with 314.09 drivers and the latest patch. I now get minimum 50fps in Boston maxed out (plus SweetFX)
Not sure if it was the drivers, switching to Sandy Bridge E and PCIE 3.0 or what but something fixed the performance problem.
You get 50fps in this game with 680 SLI ? God this game is very nasty on optimization. )
Crysis 3 runs better than this console port.
I was getting 30fps in Boston on a similar rig a few weeks ago. And Crysis 3 maxed out with cvar tweaks I get 20-35fps, although it's still early days. It's taken a few months to get AC3 running smooth.
I am averaging 50fps on my moderate system with only 1 visual setting not on the highest.
AC3 had a 9mb download on steam today. Anyone know anything about it?
I got it too. Not sure what it did though and I see no mention of it on the Steam forum.
It's the magic patch to fix then game.
Started playing this again last night after focusing on Tomb Raider and Far Cry 3.
Struggled to get constant 60 FPS at 1080p with everything maxed, was dipping all the time and the screen tearing was driving me crazy. This was during stuff like the ship battles, cut scenes etc. Dropped Shadows to High from Very High and can now get a constant 60 at these points. Running through Boston I still get random drops to 40 FPS or so, even though GPU usage is around 70%. Horribly optimized game - it doesn't even look that great.
Also I've been pretty disappointed in the actual game so far. Have just got my Assassin robes. Assassin's Creed 2 is my favourite because it introduced so many new features from the first - every game since then seems recycled with a few bits tacked on.
Will they ever fix this horrid port I just installed it on my secondary PC (PII 940 @ 3.5Mhz HT @ 2400 w/ AMD 6950)that I have in the family room to play on steam big picture and it will not go above 28fps average in Boston this is pathetic. /rant
If you want to really entertain yourself turn all eye candy down to lowest settings and watch your fps go up by only 5 it will bring a smile to your face.
I can not find any release notes on it either.
So how do these pivots work ??
