stop misleading people, the 34" is a VA.

Yeah... I thought the same. The screen, if miniOLED, would have been very interesting, this way it's a normal screen with a useless gimmick for a higher price than it's competition.

this is not an OLED UWQHD, the oled part is the 1.3 inch part, not the ultrawide 1440p part.

For god's sake, stop making curved monitors - that fad died a decade ago for proper TVs.

Except that contrary to TVs, curved pc monitors actually makes sense. Viewing a curved monitor at a correct distance makes all the difference.

They would not be making them if there wasn't a market.

I had no clue ASRock sells monitors.

"miniOLED" isn't a thing. This is a mini OLED screen. IE 1.3in = miniature. We've had extremely high PPI OLED screens for a decade. The Galaxy S4 had a 1080p OLED 5in screen.

It's not done for aesthetics, it's done because most VA panels have gamma shift at fairly shallow angles, and once you start getting in the 27in+ range, the edges will have noticeable gamma shifting on a flat panel at typical monitor viewing distances.

I have 2 curved monitors on my desk right now. I won't buy a flat monitor larger than 24" ever again if I can avoid it.

I'm afraid even at 400eur you'll not find a really good one.
This is the recommended 400eur 21:9
    https://www.rtings.com/monitor/reviews/gigabyte/g34wqc
awful amounts of overshoot at max refresh, black smear and quite poor motion quality at 60Hz,which you'll be seeing a lot with VRR on a high pixel count monitor unless you have a 4080 or higher.

I'm waiting for more 1440p oled monitors to be available. dunno if 16:9 or 21:9, but the next one I want will be 1440p OLED with great HDR.

I do not like waiting, same with gpu's... You can wait till forever ever and then when the monitors are finally available, they are twice as expensive as you have budgetted and they promoted. I am hoping for a Iiyama G-Master GB3467WQSU-B1 between €300,-- to €350,--. It would be a good fit for my 6700xt gpu, atleast alot better then my current Iiyama G-Master GB2560HSU 1080p gaming monitor.

curved VA what a shock, I dont like Curved monitor never haved never will, if other people that great for them. Then again most VA panels have horrid response time and overshoot. I still have yet to see VA monitor that has response time equal to my VA TV 14-23ms that 55|" that also has no overshoot all at same time at 60hz

Man I love all of the ignorance. Just seething with it.

This entire section is just well, lacking in info on the matter.

Big damn difference between 16:9 curved, 21:9 and 49 inch curved. Yes I know people have a preference. That isnt the issue.
Issue is people dragging their opinion into mud like its the absolute facts, and not even having the proper facts for their argument.

I dare someone to try and use a large ultrawide/supwerwide flat and tell me you didnt like curved.

Does it make a difference that none of the monitors in the article would be considered a large ultrawide or superwide?
