ASRock releases a whole bunch of new bios updates this month.

May be old news, but I just noticed this. New support for the XT model Ryzen's. Just installed version 4.20 with no issues, haven't tried any additional overclocking though yet.

Installed on B450m Pro4 no problem. These new bioses are the AGESA Combo-AM4 PI 1.0.0.6

Gigabyte updated their on 7/7 when the chips ware out. Thats with the x570 idk about b450.

 

I have one that I replaced with an X570 Phantom Gaming 4. Ironically the X570 is behind on the updates to 1.0.0.6 lol. Perhaps I should switch back to it.

 

See that's what I found interesting. The Pro 4 and B450 models are getting the newest updates.

 

but before the V2 bios's dropped the B450M Pro 4 was quite a bit behind the X570 line. Especially when the 3k line up dropped last year.

 

Well I've had a theory ever since AMD said that Ryzen 4000 would not work on B450 boards. Without getting too crazy, I think there are a lot of legal and technical details being worked on behind the scenes.

 

They just released 1.0.0.6 for my X570 Phantom gaming. Another curious oddity is they just scrubbed the 1.0.0.2 version they posted a few weeks ago.

 

So I go to the site to grab the file and they've taken it off and put the 1.0.0.2 back on there lol.
