This is good news. Other brands should do the same.
It's "always" good to have options and possibilities.

thanks to intel's 12th gen x370 buyers can enjoy the platform longevity they were promised.
too bad the cpus are still overpriced but at least they're getting support.they'll be cheaper in a year or two.three generations of cpus on a single socket is really good.maybe 3D cache versions too, that'd be awesome.

I rememeber before getting the z490 I thought about x370 fatal1ty board,it was selling at an absolutely great price for a high end board. Was gonna use it with 1600AF and get a zen3.It looks like I wouldn't have made a bad choice eventually, but the wait would be really long.

Just looking at the official BIOS releases or the unofficial releases as well? Cuz the "rogue" BIOS were released by ASROCK at the end of 2020...

AMD move to kill Alderlake sales and maintain sales on its overpriced Zen3. (Also good PR move ).

I feel like ASRock deserves some credit here, If I was someone still holding onto a perfectly good X370 board, this would definitely be great news. This reminds me of back in the day when we were transitioning from AGP to PCI-E, ASRock was one of the few, if not the only one who released a board providing both an AGP and PCI-E slot. I've never built a personal system using an ASRock board, however I've built some clients computers using ASRock boards, and I've never seen a failure. Cool to see companies collaborate & accommodate those who don't upgrade their motherboard all that frequently.

I would have kept using my X370 Taichi, since it supports Zen 2. However, a couple usb ports straight up failed so I just have the board stored away for backup purposes.
