ASRock Gaming's G10 is the combination of the internet of things and a powerful router. It learns the infrared signals of let's say your TV remote, and assigns it to your smart phone with the ASRock... ASRock Gaming G10 Router
But wouldn't the router need to have line of sight of whatever device you plan to control with it? Seems kind of pointless unless you keep your router in the back of the room on a shelf with vision of all your home theater equipment.
Maybe it's for a newer smart phones with infrared transmitters....but i can't see how this makes it a better gaming router in any case:wanker: I guess if the router is in line of site of the tv in question it would be cool
definitively more classy than my 1U rackable pro router... good idea as all the new android box of the providers, have a lack of connectivity.
This seems completely useless with a phone with an IR blaster. (I don't even use remotes anymore) If your remote doesn't work well, replace it instead of getting a router specifically for this
I bought a Logitech remote years ago just so I don't have to deal with 10 crappy remotes in my living room. Mine controls my HDTV, HD-DVR, Blu-Ray, Harman-Kardon Receiver, air conditioner, ceiling fan, garage door, and lights. One remote to rule them all!
Gaming router... Please don't say it reduces ping and improves your skill. Just shiny router with some sticks on it.
Mhm. The problem is just that my current case for my HTPC doesn't have enough room to put my IR capable display in there, so I can't use it for everything yet again... dammit! Probably this. Oh and it's got killer hardware!!1!
