Artifacts in Riddick Athena when over clocked

    Getting artifacts when playing Riddock Assault on Dark Athena game with AA on and running my ATI 4870 1gig at over clock settings: 800mhz/1015mhz. No artifacts when playing at default clocks. Or when I play with no AA but Ambient Occlusion on at 800mhz/1015mhz, I get no artifacts.
    using the win 7 default driver WHQL 8.612 (similiar to 9.5)
    Any one else?
    Will post this in the ATI driver section as well.

    PS All my other games have no issues with these overclocks..
    HAWX, Fear 2, Far Cry 2

    Your overclock is not stable, it's as simple as that. A game can be more sensitive to errors or push a card harder to show more errors, as apparently Riddick is doing.

    Back down the OC, that's really your only option. The fact that other games don't exhibit this problem is irrelevent.

    This game pushes my cards harder then any other game I've ever played so overheating may be a possibility.

    Does anyone know why rivatuner OSD ingame does not work in Riddock Assault? Is it because its DX10?? (or..)

    It uses opengl so that's probably why.
