We're delighted to introduce Arma 3, the latest installment of the tactical military simulation game from independent developers Bohemia Interactive, creators of the award-winning mil-sim series Arma.

its certainly a WOW moment for me. which BF3 didnt have.
Merkava 4M's and Namer's in the debut pictures!
I think I got an erection.
On another note. In this picture:
I'm going to try to find a shot of the area.
Edit: Not it
I hope it will have DX11 for the performance improvements! Looks amazing!
Location is confirmed as Lemnos a greek island
What i'm liking is it's another game doing away with XP/DX9, the specs state Windows7/Vista and DX10 only.
I'm going through the screenshots and listing out equipment by country that I see, should give us some hints:
M-14 EBR rifle
Merkava 4M MBT
Tavor TAR-21 rifle
Maybe this one will actually be good and won't suck.
i bet its just another bs engine like the last one - huge system hog that looked weak and old, i'll pass.
I like the games but I'm now wary of ARMA3 because of Bohemia's inclusion
of PhysX™. Could it actually help the engine or could it just raise the overheads
needed to get this thing running smoothly? ???
Here are the system requirments:
rma 3 system requirements:
OS – Windows 7 / Vista
CPU – Intel Core i5 or AMD Athlon Phenom X4 or faster
GPU – Nvidia Geforce GTX 260 or ATI Radeon HD 5770, shader Model 3 and 896 MB VRAM, or faster
RAM – 2 GB
HDD – 15 GB free space
DVD – Dual Layer compatible
DirectX® – 10
A bit heavy
....ArmA 1/2 never really had a real physics engine. PhysX as a physics engine definitely is a gigantic leap forward.
