At this week's Game Developers Conference (GDC), NVIDIA revealed a pair of new technical demos pairing its GeForce RTX technologies with an Arm-based MediaTek processor to show how advanced graphics ... Arm Is RTX ON
It's going to be interesting to see what Big.Little CPUs do to the PC world, especially gaming, and good to see that nVidia is working on what the ARM half of that will look like as well (even if everyone is dropping ARM like burning sack of sh** and moving to custom CPUs).
Excellent, any news on the ARM purchase? was it concluded ? I remember reading that UK governement might oppose the acquisition?
Big corps and government are against it. Smaller tech companies are for it. That's where it stands right now, not concluded yet.
Does nobody else wonder why Nvidia showed the demo on a MTK SoC and not on their own Drive/Tegra SoC (Xavier or Orin), they even have integrated GPUs and/or being normally combined with a Turing/Ampere GPU...?
So they have some ARM stuff working with Geforce 3060.. but there are some ARM desktop boards with few PCI-E slots for as normal people? Its not surpise that x86 is still ruling, if there is not any desktop ARM alternative, only some overpriced Raptor PowerPC..
