I'm already in a holding pattern for the Sandy Bridge CPU's, I might as well wait and see if they release a revised 480 (a la 280 to 285.) I'm surprised by the prices though, I expected them in the mid $600's. I guess you can't charge that much when you're only marginally outperforming the competitor's product.

I´m still waiting to see the price of the 470 in Portugal before deciding. Although, after seeing the performance of current cards on DX11, i´m tempted to wait for the 2nd gens of both ATI and Nvidia as my 8800GT still serves me well enough.

I'm not sure yet. I'll rather upgrade to a new CPU/motherboard/RAM combo, though.

Finally the wait is over for me, new nvidia cards are too expensive, and there s too much heat for my taste, i think of going for ati 5870 (in few months, cause need too upgrade my PSU too, CPU later...).

i am just waiting that Nvidia is making new 4xx series worth buying, because this is bollox, even the 295 can keep up the 480 lol

if ATI where more stable with drivers and game support and if they had physx [ore something like that] i would buy one for sure

No thanks on Fermi. It's not enough to make me jump off the ATI ship. The temps are another thing. I just don't like them, yes I there there are 3rd party coolers, but the point remains. The price is another thing. Too much for this card IMO. If it was say $429.99 USD that might be okay (might be okay....just maybe).

Sorry Nvidia maybe next time you'll win me back.

I will not be and I am dissapointed. I wanted it to be more than what it was but there is no reason for me to upgrade for what I would get - especially for the price.

I want to go 480 SLI, but nmay need new PSU first. Not sure if 750W is up to it, though 1000W will run two GTX295's.

I'm going Red this time. I don't have a good reason to go nvidia - high TDP, noise, not much better than ATI's counterparts..

I voted 'dont know yet', pretty self explanitory. My gtx 260 realistically is doing fine right now. Do a need a 470? Probably not. Do I want one? Hell yeah. But I'd have to agree with superbill here. Who knows, maybe the reversion will have 32 more cores? I'm starting to sort of doubt my Q6600 would give me full benifits of a new high end gpu like that now.

I voted don't know yet. If i do it would be a 470 or a revised version. So far there is not a announcement of a 460. In June there is suppose to be a 430,440 and 450. A 460 may come out but I doubt anytime soon, maybe fall time/christmas time.

    Was expecting more from it.

As i have to pay for bills, electricity, the price it is, is not so tempting, value for electricity is poor.

Have now got a new rig, so have an excuse to get a reasonable card though, maybe a 5870.

Will see how money goes and decide in a few months.

So have to vote dont know for now.

I'm skipping this round with Nvidia. For the little bit of gain, compared to the cost, heat, etc. just isn't worth it for me. I still remember the days of my 8800GTX and the heat it produce. How I had to put a slot cooler next to it, and a 60mm fan just to keep it down in the 45-50C range. But that card was well worth it. The GTX260 I have now runs everything fine for me at 1680 rez. I don't use the PhysX feature, either. I'm waiting for the 5850 to drop down to $250, which hopefully should happen sometime within the next 6 months. Newegg already has one brand that is down to $279, just waiting on the other brands to follow suit.
