I've been googling this but its hard to figure out from reviews that focus on listening. I at wondering if a record player hooked up to these need a pre amp or not. If anyone with this sound card knows this answer id be grateful.

I don't owned that card, but I doubt any computer sound card is capable of having a turntable connected to it. Only way I could see it happening, sound card would have to have line level input, and the turntable has it's own built in preamp. If in doubt contact the card's manufacturer.

Update: So I looked up your card specs, and that line level will not able to play a turntable correctly. Also, in the the owners manual: RCA Aux-In jack - Connects to the output line-level sources (for example, MP3 players) with an RCA plug. So, you could connect an CD/DVD player, but Turntable, no. Only way it could, the turntable has built in pre-amp, or you use a dedicated phono pre-amp between turntable and sound card.
