    Spy agencies want microphones and cameras in our homes. Also they don't want to force it onto the people but they want the people to want and buy the device themselves. Else it would trigger resistance.
    At the moment I'm at 4 audio visual sensor units and counting....

    It looks nice, but if you've ever touched something made by ARCHOS, (cheap tablets, etc) you wouldn't dare buy this.

    I got an Alexa Show for $149 (on a prime sale). It's similar to the 7" one here. It constantly goes on sale for $179 so no need to pay the $229, full price. If you really want a video home assistant, try something like that or wait for some better options.

    I personally like the dot. $30 is well worth it.
