It is very easy to get 100K on a dual core CPU. Last, night, with a stock GFX and a x2 4200+@2.5 GHz, we were able to get 101K. Dual cores that have a good OC coupled with a good GFX OC now get around 120K. The new mark for respect appears to be 125K. :D

    So, x2 4800+, here I come...

Note This solution favors performance gains over power savings. Although benchmark performance scores may improve, battery life could be negatively affected. Therefore, this kernel policy change must be enabled in the registry to allow for maximum flexibility.
Enable the new performance state policy behavior
After you install the hotfix that is described in this article, follow these steps to enable the new performance state policy behavior:
    1. Click Start, click Run, type regedit in the Open box, and then click OK.
    2. Right-click HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager, point to New, and then click Key.
    3. Type Throttle for the new key name.
    4. Right-click Throttle, point to New, and then click DWORD Value.
    5. Type PerfEnablePackageIdle for the value name.
    6. Right-click PerfEnablePackageIdle, and then click Modify.
    7. In the Edit DWORD Value box, type 1. In the Value data box, make sure that Hexadecimal is selected, and then click OK.
    8. Quit Registry Editor.
    Correct TSC Synchronization

If I am using a 2.6C with Hyperthreading should I do this? Is it for better systemwide performance or just AM3? The reason I am asking is because it mentions Intel hyperthreading in the article and my compy doesn't feel as fast as it should be. Thx

«This fixes performance issues with systems running XP and using a dual core CPU with Cool 'n Quiet enabled. You must also modify the registry. Remember you patch and modify your registry at your own risk. Make sure to read the instructions at the Windows page here. We also have it posted below. »

PS: this is not only for AQ3  read all the article

Use a screen shooter, Personally i use the Hypersnap DX... when you have finished the bench, launch the soft and take a screenshot...

But for 3Mar 03/05 you can create a account on Futuremark ( ORB), this is totally free, you can enter 5 scores by benchmark and you can manage it for have allways your best score enter... a good way to see how is your result as you can compare with the score entered by other peoples...

phrozin : cool.... whats your CPU and GFX score to be precise
because im going to use those to compare them with an AMD4800's
just to be sure if the dual core support for Aqua makes that big a difference...

My 1st post is my AM3 result :)

I think this looks pretty neat for my PC setup + my card overclock isnt it?

Since the 81.85 drivers my ocassional game freezes are finally over :D thanks for that, though fast write has to stay off, otherwise good chance on a reboot.

I wanna check in with some of the AQ3 masters here and see how 30k sounds for my system...

I was getting 30k with my 1.25GB of ram but now its 1Gb and I get jussst shy of 30k the ram made very little diffrence.
