That's a nice looking block... Will look even better if they do a full nickel version!

Looks impressive Good... So do people actually make benchmark whit these? And compare it to reference model?

I would like to see some numbers on these.

People get to 1125~1150 stable clock, that's nearly 10%, so nothing special.

I am not OCing it now, don't need to. HBM can't be OCed as of this moment as changing its clock in any way results in RSOD (stays 24/7 at default 500MHz). I did not try OC, don't feel like it is worth it.

Hence my point. No point buying a waterblock for something you cant really overclock (yet).

(i feel no need to stick a wb on my 970 yet even though I could).

Kind of gets you to wonder why AMD didn't use a block like this from the beginning. It's already liquid cooled, so why not? If they made the GPU a single-slot card it could've been used in [more] mini ITX cases. It also would've given them some leverage over nvidia, where the 980 Ti would be roughly 3x the size in comparison (including the length of the card, not just depth).

Looking at price tag of 100 Euro, I would say that's answer as it does not include pump and radiator.
If I was into custom loops, I would love to get this pre-assembled as it would come at same price as reference. Getting this now would be like paying another 100 Euro.

It wouldn't cost 100 if they mass-produced it, and maybe used a cheaper alloy. It wouldn't surprise me if less than 500 of these blocks exist. Everything is more expensive when the supply and demand is limited.

It is CNC made, machine making this make other pieces right afterwards without special adjustments.
But you are absolutely right that small volumes make it luxury type of goods and increase price.
