Sorry if this has been asked before, but I was wondering approximately how long until my card is supported? my card is a GTX 260 c216 OCv3 by MSi (MSi Rep will probably know this already). I read somewhere it uses the same PWM's as the Lightning (just fewer), but when I tried the utility it didn't allow adjustment. I've been looking around for so long to volt mod my 260, I cant OC at all over factory (655/1400/1100?) unless I boost the 12v voltage via my PSU (Odin GT), then I can get a measly 1% OC over factory.

And of course I dont want to hard mod it, I still want to be able to sell it later on when I upgrade. So yeah, if you can even give me a rough idea how long until the OCv3 is supported?

I'm afraid that there is no programmable voltage controller onboard.

so hard mod is the only option if I want to up the voltage? If so, looks like I'll be getting rid of this card sooner than I planned :(

Like Unwinder said, there is no programmable voltage circuit on 260 OCv3, but you can always choose N275GTX Lightning or MSI 5850/5870, I'm pretty sure you will have more fun on those cards. :D

Man if I had a capable CPU I'd be all over the 5870 believe me. As it stands now my GPU is massively bottlenecked by my CPU, so there will be no real benefit from switching. I may mod the case so I can throw in a P55 and i7 Processor, or a 790FX & Phenom II since its more cost efficient and keeps up well during gaming (then I might not have to give up my brand new DDR2 RAM) Then I'll pick up a new GPU

Take a look at the Phenom 550BE stats if your not planning to go quad or I7. For $100 USD you get 3 onchip caches, the 3rd being a whooping 6mb, 3.1MHZ normal clk which can be greatly raised, & its 45nm which is AM3 & AM2+ compatable which means it can run DDR2 or DDR3 as well as being backwards compatable on lower M/Bs in the AM2 range so you can still use your new mem. Im running this processor & its a great gaming CPU. Cool 80w power demand also. On Farcry2 my FPS are usually between 45-80FPS with everything in the game set to ultra hi & with 8XAA also. Good bang for buck & dosent break the bank. Many have stated they have ramped theirs as hi as 3.9 & still stable. Im creeping slowly up to 3.5 then calling it quits but 3.5 is a respectable GHZ to get rid of a CPU bottlneck for the price.
